Beginning on June 1 (or immediately), rent a 10 ft by 12 ft bedroom for only $1100 a month in an Upper West Side apartment on Riverside Dr. in the upper West 90s. The $1100 a month rent includes utilities, cable TV and internet. The security deposit is $1400. The initial lease period will end on September 1, 2012 with an additional year's lease being possible if you wish to remain with us.

Our building is only 3 blocks from the express and local subway stop at 96th Street and Broadway and is very near to 4 different bus lines.

Since the corner of our building is somewhat round, one is able to see for miles in three directions from our living room. We have a view of Riverside Drive, Riverside Park, the Hudson River, and the far shore.

You will share the apartment with 3 others.

You will have full access to your own room (which faces south), the hallway, the full bath, the kitchen, the storage room and---on occasion---to the living room (which is also a bedroom, but which looks like a living room and which has its door open to the other roommates much of the time).

It is up to you to provide your own bed or futon for your bedroom.

The bedroom for rent is furnished with antiques with dark mahogany or mahogany-like woods: an antique secretary desk, an antique night table, a chest with 5 drawers, a mahogany wall mirror, rare dry plants (one set of plants rises almost to the ceiling from a very tall glass vase); a dark wood newspaper holder; a copper-colored South Asian wall hanging.

P.S. I am attaching a series of cellphone photos. The colors, it seems, are somewhat untrue: There is no blue in the room. The South Asian wall hanging is copper colored. The wall prints are olive, gold, ivory, black, and burnt sienna. The wider angled photo of the bed comes closest to rendering the colors somewhat well.
