Alice Kuder I did not submit the photo of the SW Library Branch as a photo of the Central Library. Walk-Score added my photo to the Central system.

Kelley B. The photo of an exterior shot with the orange walls is not actually of the Seattle Central Library.

Mahalie The curtain wall at the downtown SPL was engineered specifically for this unique building by Rem Koolhaas | OMA. The perforated sheet metal creates static louvers that allow light in from some angles and not others to keep heating and cooling the building efficient. I highly recommend a tour of this fascinating building! #architecture #architectural-tour #donotmiss

Mahalie I took my anachronistic city-avoiding dad the most contemporary building in Seattle, the Central Library. He loved it! This is him looking at a video art installation embedded in the wall with a peek at the elevator shaft on the other side.

Mahalie The exterior photo of the library by Alice K is actually the Southwest Branch at 9010 35th Ave SW

Alice Kuder A wonderful community resource. Staff are friendly and helpful. Atmosphere is quiet, clean and pleasant.

ChaoChao Wong A minimalist style restroom located at the first floor in Children's Section.

ChaoChao Wong You can always find surprising things in the Children's Section - large stuffed animals, nicely decorated reading place, and beautiful family and kids restrooms.
