How do I add or remove a place on my Walk Score map?
Walk Score uses a combination of leading data providers but nobody knows your neighborhood better than you do.
You can add places to the Walk Score map by looking up the Walk Score for an address on www.walkscore.com, expanding a category, and then clicking "Add Place."
To remove a place, select a place on the map and click "Remove place" in the info window.
Detailed steps are outlined below.
Adding a place to the Walk Score map:
- Look up the address of the place you would like to add on walkscore.com.
Expand any amenity group and click the "Add place" link. This will launch a form for adding a place.

Select the most appropriate type of place from the drop down menu and fill out all of the form fields as accurately and completely as possible.

- Login using your Facebook credentials if you have not already done so.
- Click "submit" to add the new place.
That's it! Your new location should show up immediately in all address listings that are within the viewed map-range of your new place.
Removing a place from the Walk Score map:
- On the search results page, click the amenity listing you'd like to remove (either in the list panel on the left, or click the icon on the map).
Click the "Remove place" link on place information bubble (details view of the location).

- A confirmation form will pop up, asking you to specify the reason for removing this location.
You'll need to login using your Facebook credentials if you have not already done so.

- Click "Remove Place" to confirm your removal request.
- This location should no longer appear on Walk Score maps.
