We are on our third year with Rent Charleston and we love them. We have always received great support from all staff members A special thank you to Chad Hinkle who is courtesies, extremely professional, always timely, and very detailed oriented. Knowing we have Chad along with the entire Rent Charleston team, makes dealing with our rental much easier.

BEWARE- Absolute WORST company. Owned by John Liberatos, this company should be ashamed to call themselves a rental management company. They "managed" my home in Charleston for over a year and when the tenant moved out, I learned that they had not done regular or thorough inspections and there was over $2500 worth or damage and repairs needed to my home due to the tenant not taking good care of it. When you pay a rental company to manage your property- this is expected and what you are paying for. Even worse, they have their lease drafted to where it does not protect the owner, and is more so in favor of the tenant, should they break their lease. Bad news dealing with them- run don't walk.

RentCharleston could possibly be the worst rental agency on the Charleston peninsula. My roommate and I discovered many basic problems with our apartment that needed to be fixed once we moved in. We preceded to contact RentCharleston and file work order that still to this day have not been processed. I eventually emailed the president of the company and like his fellow employees, I never received any sort of response to my complaints. For the love of god DO NOT RENT from this agency. They are extremely unprofessional and will do everything they can to take as much of your money as possible. I only gave them one star because I had to in order to post this review.

Bethany Hill is unprofessional and rude. I made an appointment for a showing with Bethany Hill. I arrived early, and waited over 30 minutes. She was a no show. I called and called, but the phone was never answered. I sent her an email about it, and her response was, "It was cancelled, you confirmed it, sorry you didn't see it." This was a lie. Sorry I didn't see something I confirmed? That doesn't even make sense. She also a attached a screenshot from her appointment software claiming it was somehow proof I was made aware. Everything I experienced trying to view a property is inline with all the other negative experiences written here. I'm lucky I learned about this company's incompetence at the beginning of the process.

The worst rental company to ever deal with as a renter! They don't answer the phone 90% of the time. They conveniently lose important documents. They have the worst front desk receptionists with terrible attitudes when you ask for any kind of help. Forget about getting information back in a timely manner. It takes weeks to get an answer on anything that doesn't involve them receiving money. They're the most disorganized business I've dealt with. I would not recommend renting through them if you can help it.
