The Boulders is a large, well maintained apartment complex. The apartments are larger than normal two bedroom units. The living room has a huge double size window, from floor to ceiling, allowing in plenty of sunlight, bird songs, and beautiful sunsets if you happen to face west. Landscaping is professionally done weekly and grounds are kept clean. It is surrounded by protected conservation areas, and home to New England Cottontail rabbits, squirrels, the tiny "spring peeper" frog, cardinals, blue jays, robins, mockingbirds, owls, woodpeckers, and many others. These forested areas are filled with fireflies from late June through August. During the winter, snow removal crews are at work as soon as is possible clearing the sidewalks and roadways. Public transportation is provided by the colleges, free of charge, and during the school year the buses run every 15 minutes, arriving at the various colleges in town in a matter of minutes. There are two bus stops in the complex - one in the middle and one in the front. I have lived here at the Boulders for 15 years and have had very few, other than normal, problems with appliances and laundry facilities. Repairs are done quickly and efficiently. Staff has always been very polite and responsive, and run the office in a very competent, well organized way. I love living here and it's the only place I have ever lived where I can look out my windows and see a menagerie of forest creatures and birds, all living peacefully in a protected environment. I happily give it 5 stars, and more if I could. C. Dickinson

Rent is reasonable and apartments are decent. Staff working in the office can be rude and unhelpful, they often do not know their own rules. Hallways smell bad and carpet clearly needs to replaced of cleaned at the least. Have had to call maintenance for issues with the shower and fridge multiple times, they respond quickly but sometimes we need the same problem fixed multiple times.

I love the maintenance crew, they are all lovely and hardworking. During the winter, they were op top of plowing and vacuuming hallway regularly. Problems - To say that wall is thin would be gratefully understating. I don't hate my neighbor but she/he seems be bit of psycho, I could hear them cry from time to time, as well as my other neighbor's daily kitchen and shower routine. I am grateful that I am leaving this place. I also didn't envision having whole family as neighbor - kids, husband, wife uncle etc etc. Totally not cool. GYM : NOT A GYM, calling a two bedroom without walls with few old crappy machine does not make it a gym. The place has ancient machines that's been missing MOST pins for the weight over several months, didn't bother to fix that even after complaining multiple times. If you are a girl run - then you can use the treadmill - only functioning machines. If you are college student, I wouldn't recommend it.

I moved in a month ago, and i like it here so far. The management is nice, the rent isn't so bad, the utilities are fine. Maintenance just replaced all the windows in my building. Took forever and was noisy, but now the windows are all awesome. Parking is pretty ample. There's not really a noise issue most of the time. The hallways smell kinda funny. And there are a LOT of Asians, but i mean whatever, I'm no racist, it's not like, a problem, man.

Manager is rude and not reasonable at all. They want to dig every penny out of you even if it's their fault. Often noisy at weekend night until 2-3am and police cannot stop them. The party crowd will just be crazily noisy right after police leave. Bad clothes dryer... Rent prices vary from apt to apt for the exact same floor plan even if people move in the same year. Price is by negotiation, old residents get higher rents if you're not a good negotiator.
