Do not sign the "Sight Unseen" clause. Also, when moving out, photo / video document then entire apartment with time-stamp. Trust me on that one; you'll be glad you did when it comes time to settle after moving out. Of the what I assume to be the typical $200.00 security deposit, the following charges were taken from it: Vacuum Carpets - $25.00 (Carpets were steam cleaned the day I turned in the keys) Kitchen Cleaning - $75.00 Bathroom Cleaning - $72.00 They tried to charge me $125 to replace the entire deck blind unit when only one panel was damaged. They eventually dropped that charge but not after several emails and a phone call to Langley Apartments (Riverwalk's parent company). The staff in the office is very friendly though.

I liked my time I lived at Riverwalk. I worked and lived there and know the type of people that got kicked out of the place. In fact I was their during the time that the poster below posted about. The previous management let everyone under the sun live there and didn't fix diddly squat. They sucked. Then the new owners came in and got rid of the people who couldn't pay their rent or failed to understand how to live in a community like normal people. Basically, the people that shouldn't have been let in because their credit was too poor, but was let in because the previous owners were trying to "pad" their numbers so they could sell the place at a higher rate. When the new owners did their background check, certain people didn't pass normal credit ratings, etc. So those people were not allowed to renew their leases. They never should have been allowed to lease in the first place. So the property got a great face lift and about over a hundred apartments got rehabbed interiors (contrary to the poster below). PS Google is responsible for the pictures, not the folks at the Riverwalk. And now we know why some people aren't living there anymore, lol.

Management sucks!! Very unAmerican & unpatriotic. They told a veteran to remove his LITTLE flag from his back patio. Seriously, you should not even consider moving here. If they are capable of this, there is no telling what other BS they are capable of.

I've lived here for a year with 2 kids... Simply put, I hate it, the first management lied, and never wanted to fix anything, so when we got new management I thought things would be better... WRONG... They lie to your face to make you leave them alone, and they are constantly trying to make the outsides look better, while not even bothering to do anything to the interior. On top of that, my two neighbors and myself have gotten letters saying our lease will not be renewed, with no explanation given, and when asked, always the same answer "that's another persons decision, I don't know" I highly do not recommend ever living here. They have a banner at their office saying "Voted best in Salem". What a joke. And the Google street view is from ages ago, they don't have that many trees, and the ones they do have are small, except a few, in the back. Oh, and to top it off, there is a homeless guy living under the bridge right beside the "nature trail" which on another note, is riddled with trash. And don't forget, you aren't even allowed children's toys on your own patio, nor trash cans, or to top it all off, my neighbor got a letter saying they had to.remove their 18month olds' shoes off theirs. This place is like a prison sometimes. Don't ever, ever live here.

The staff here are anti-Military and anti-Veteran. An active duty Soldier of the US Army was asked to take down a flag that he was so proudly flying for 5 months without incident. Nothing more than a shakedown of Military or Veterans because the management views them as "undesirables"
