If i could give them no stars i would. The new management not only looses money orders, receipts, repair orders, and forms, but they also outright lie to their residents. They seem nice enough at first but DON’T LET THEM FOOL YOU; to them you are just a number that pays rent. The facilities are attractive enough from the outside but once you get past the new paint and pavement you see that the walls are anything but soundproof, the floors creak, the fans are held on by old light fixtures, the plumbing is always backed up, the paint chips with little encouragement, the closet doors fall off with the slightest touch, the "vents" in the bathrooms push air straight back into the room, and the water heater (even when new) only keeps water hot for about ten minutes. Please trust me YOU ARE BETTER OFF LIVING IN THE DORMS than in this over priced storage locker. p.s. please note that the only above average comments that this complex has received were posted by a resident that lived there with different management and a brand new resident that has not yet seen the light.
"Mike" must just be a hard person to please because i honestly cannot think of any major complaints about University West Apartments. I love it - everything about it, almost. The free Wi-Fi in the clubhouse is a HUGE plus as as student - especially when the Wi-Fi in our apartment gets a little slow. Also the couches and flatscreen TV in the clubhouse are VERY nice. My roomies and i love going down there to hang out and watch TV since we don't have cable in our apartment. The staff is super friendly, too! They know all of our names and try to help us out as quickly as possible when we come to them with an issue. They're very responsive to complaints about neighbors (noise, smoke smell, etc..). The staff puts on seasonal apartment parties with food and games - those are fun. And by far the BEST part about living here is the location!! Not only is it practically ON campus, but it's within walking distance to Target, Wal Mart, lots of food places.. And it's right off the freeway so it's easy for visitors to find it. The unit is really nice - we have new "wood" linoleum floors in our kitchen. And i love that there are a washer and dryer in the unit! The layout is really nice, too. We live in an upper level 2-bedroom unit. Plus, there's a loft upstairs that we use as a bedroom too (We just put up a full-length curtain to make a wall).. So it's basically a 3-bedroom.You're allowed to have 5 in the 2-bedrooms, and that's what we did, so rent is amazingly cheap! We love it! And you'd think that maybe it'd get crowded with 5 people, but the apartment is surprisingly big. We love the "town-house" feel of it, too. Lots of storage space, as well. And the high ceiling in the living room makes it feel really open and spacious. Only kinda funny thing is that there is no light in the walk-in closet in the downstairs bedroom.. So, that's an annoyance sometimes. Other than that, I just love everything. I want to stay at University West for the rest of the time i live in Flag!
