Great location to live (Near Rhodes College & Overton Park). I love the new management/staff and the community they are building here. The renovations are beautiful and the rents are affordable. I hope they continue renovating and improving this apartment community and never forget that tenants are with them and will always be supportive in their good efforts.
Never fix things when they do they half do it
Been here almost 6 years. Its gone down but its not the worst I've seen. They need to get rid of the section eights.
In all I enjoyed my experience at the University Cabana. I lived there for a total of two years. I moved in because rent was very affordable after student discount, and it was walking distance to school. Never had any problems with theft though it was known to occur at times. My unit was relatively close to the guard shack too. I did have a roach problem but was easilly able to take care of it with traps and whatnot. Did have some crazy neighbors, but we said "hi" to them every now and again and they wouldn't call security when we got too loud. In fact, neighbors never complained about anything we did, and there was plenty going on. Management could be rude, but it seemed more like the individuals I happened to deal with rather than the entire staff. I once got paid $200 when a friend moved in on my recommendation, but I dont know it they still do that. Maintenance requests did take a long time, but considering what we paid, its about the level of service I would expect. So be wise when you're looking for apartments. Does location and price matter more to you than rude management and bugs? Does the possibility of crime scare you to death? These are always things to consider, but when people ask me where they should live, I tell them, "If you want to live as nice as you can for as cheap as you can, call the Cabanas."
i just recently moved out of memphis and i lived at the cabana apts for a little over three years...before i moved in i read some of the reviews and they were awful...it just isnt that bad...i had friends that lived in other buildings and over all they seemed about the same...of course they are old buildings so you have to deal with that but they are affordable and the staff is helpful and nice...
