I recently moved into the Highlands at Grand Terrace and I must say that I am greatly pleased with my experience. Finding an apartment out of state is a difficult task but the staff made the process seamless and stress-free. Judith, Mayra, Tia, and Sabrina should be commended for their hard work, dedication, and high regard for customer satisfaction. Not only was the process of finding the right apartment simple and easy, but the apartment looked exactly as it did in the online photos (which is a rare occasion these days). It should also be noted that I arrived earlier than my expected move in date and the staff did everything they could to make sure my apartment was move-in-ready. Even though the office was closed, the staff stayed late to review the lease, provide a tour of the apartment, issue keys, and ensure that everything was perfect for me. Every time I visit the leasing office I am greeted with a smile and offered coffee, water, etc. The residents of the Highlands are very friendly as well, and the atmosphere actually does have a resort-style feel to it. The pools, weight room, and mail room are always clean, and I feel very safe every time I go there. The prices are reasonable for the quality of the apartments and the numerous amenities. If I had to do it all over again I would choose the Highlands every time, and I will also be referring my friends here as well.

We are very pleased with not only our apartment but the sense of community that we feel is unique to The Highlands. Our experience with the front office, particularly Judith and Tia, have made us feel right at home from the first time we set foot on the property. All our service requests have been answered quickly and without incident. The property as a whole is well landscaped and kept up. As most people view apartment living as a stepping stone to buying a house, we have decided to stick around for a while. If someday we do decide to move on, our overall experience thus far will make it very difficult to leave.

Rented here years ago. Beautiful place and its in one of the nicer parts of town. So five stars for that. Docked them a star because they sent a collection agency after me saying I didn't return the key. It ended up on my credit report - over a key! Other than this we were well pleased.

I just ended a 1 year lease with them and I would not recommend this complex to any of my friends. The apartments themselves are nice in a quiet neighborhood. I did however have my car broken into. The maintenance service is quick and efficient; they usually fixed things within 2 days. The negatives is that you are paying for a gated community yet one gate is broken and always open, there is only one security guard on feet, which in my opinion not enough to cover all grounds. Management is not great either, the workers there need training. I would call about the same issue and get different answers. I had troubles with my neighbors downstairs they had a dog that did its necessities in the balcony and the smell would come upstairs to our balcony, I called twice about it and it was never resolved. Also I had a question once went to leasing office and couldn't get anything resolved, apparently they hire temps, I ended up going back because the girl did not know anything. Their whole slogan is experience the Highlands; my experience was not great so beware!
