I never write reviews, but I'm making an exception for this place. I wish I could give this place 0 stars for how much I disliked living here and the utter lack of compassion or help I've received when living here. The fact of the matter is the apartments are poorly made, and even tripping and trying to catch yourself on the wall would leave a hole. You can hear your neighbors doing practically EVERYTHING, down to taking a shower and having a TV volume at a moderate level, so if your neighbors are already noisy have fun with that. Upon moving in they said the carpets needed replacing soon, but they didn't have enough time before we moved in to do so. Fine, whatever. A week after moving out early because I was one month behind in rent (and they REFUSED to work out a payment plan so it was either move out or get evicted) I got a $4,000 bill in the mail for carpet replacement (turns out it went from already needing to be replaced to "should have been good for another 5 years and had to be replaced") and all other sorts of stuff including the months rent that I ALREADY tried to pay off as an extra fee on my rent for the remainder of my lease so I wouldn't HAVE to break it. Mind you, before deciding to go ahead and move the property manager gave me a date and said if I was out by then they wouldn't seek further payment for the months left on my lease. WHY DO I HAVE BILL COLLECTORS CALLING ME NOW THEN? Oh, and to top it all off they kept my security deposit and are still asking FOR $4,000!!!!! Oh and their security? HA! The "cameras" in the front are EMPTY you can clearly see it if you look while your walking past them, so if you think they're gonna catch someone snooping around with those, you got another thing coming. Besides that there is a huge area in the back that has no real fence, so people from the neighboring apartments can just cut through. Lastly, if you don't like living next to stuck up, privileged college students, then don't move here.

So I do like this place. It is big and there's lots of room for the price. I've never really had a parking problem, but it depends on where in the development you live I guess. The place was pretty grody when my roommates and I moved in and they charge you a "redecorating fee" instead of a security deposit, so it's not returned. I'm not really sure what they redecorated. Or cleaned. But after that, the biggest problem I have as a graduate student is the paper thin walls. I can literally hear normal level conversations at night in the apartment next door (don't get me wrong, they aren't always "trying" to be quiet). Management has also recently changed. I think for the better. My roommate is staying even though I'm not, but I don't blame her. I've heard of some pretty terrible Gainesville deals. Be careful.
