I'm really not sure why this place gets such poor reviews, as I have nothing but good things to say. I love that the complex is small. Parking appears to be adequate, meaning I've never had trouble finding a place to park. My apartment came with an assigned space as well, so that helps. My apartment is a corner unit on the second floor, and despite it's location (facing the pool, which can be noisy at times) I really like it. The appliances are all newish and work just fine. The kitchen is a bit of a tight squeeze if two people are trying to navigate around each other, but it's doable. I love the high counter-tops in the bathroom, and that the "business" area of the bathroom is separated by a door from the sink and mirror. As far as financial things go, I'm here on a corporate lease so I can't comment on rent hikes, security deposits, or utility bills. Management has been very approachable and friendly, and has been available most of the time when I've needed them (which has been seldom). The location of these apartments is in the Midtown area, which is right across the street from a Safeway (pricey!) and Starbucks, and just down the road from a few restaurants and other stores. I love the location. I'm within biking/walking distance of the Cal Ave farmer's market (a must go!), the California Ave Caltrain station, on the Palo Alto shuttle and the city bus route, University Ave, and Stanford University. In short, I have not one negative thing to say right now about this place...it's a great place to live, and I'm really happy that I chose to live here.
