Correct, news flash! These are apartments that are granted 30 years of age. As far as management goes, very lovely people, caring people as well. The people there are normal, they are human like everyone else but they have lives and hundreds of tenants to tend to on a daily basis. As far as the apartments go, a few things have went out (which was quickly fixed), they don't need to paint EVERYTHING right before you move in, the concrete is being fixed, anything else is hoopla. Please come and enjoy your stay.

From first contact with the onsite management I could tell it was not going to be a good experience. When we moved in the apt was not clean, walls were not painted, the bathroom sink did not drain and about ten other things were not up to standard. The last straw was having to inform the management three times that the lock on our mailbox did not lock the mailbox. The mailbox door just swung open. The third time I told them the women in the office, she snapped at me saying, "its not like someone is going to steal your mail".

NEWS FLASH: These are apartments, people...not an upscale gated community!! Reflection Pointe is a decent place to live. I agree that the rent is higher than probably should be for the size of the apartments; however, it is a safe place to live. The "hidden fees" are discussed with you prior to signing the lease, so there are really no surprises. The laundry facility was a problem mainly because tenants did not use the proper detergent for the machines. They have since replaced those machines and installed new ones. The office staff are friendly and helpful...and, yes, they are busy. I don't recall the ads ever declaring that these are brand new apartments, so no, they are not going to be equipped with the finest hardware, but they are updating units as they are able.
The location is great...lots of shopping and places to eat nearby and easy to get to the interstate. All in all, there is no need to "run far far away"!!

TERRIBLE place to live!! The rent is too high and the place is old. The stair are shaky and there is water running through the pipes all night every night. The office staff is unprofessional and rude and frequently like to enter your apartment without notifying you when they dont think you are home. They also never fixed ANYTHING on the form we filled in when we first moved in until after we started saying something about them enterring our apartment without calling first (which meant that we had a door that kept opening all the time unless it was deadbolted, broken tile in front of the fire place, and chipped paint on the kitchen counters.. lovely). Oh, and it is conviently located in front of the airport where you can be woken up all through the night by airplanes landing and car horns going off every 5 minutes until you call Flowood PD to come out in reference to a noise ordinance.. Also, they don't enforce the parking "rules" and people who live in other buildings park in front of yours and you have to park across the parking lot to get to your building. All in all this was a terrible place to live and the worst experience I have ever had living in an apartment community.. DO NOT MOVE HERE.. RUN AWAY.. RUN FAR, FAR AWAY!!!

The grounds are well-kept and there are 2 pools in the complex, however, besides location, the benefits end here. The management girls are nice...IF they answer the phone or return your calls. The phone is hardly ever answered, and it becomes VERY frustrating to have to walk or drive down to the office anytime you need anything. There were multiple maintenance issues which were not resolved promptly, and when they were fixed, they were fixed wrong and had to be re-done. The guys are nice, and quick to show up after-hours if needed, but they do it wrong. The apartments are old, W/D connections rusted out and problems with connecting them. The rent is way too high, then there are "extra charges" like bug service and trash that I think should be in the original rent price. Get ready to pay about $250 for non-refundable "processing fee," it is an excuse to squeeze more $$ out of you.
