This is the worst apartment to ever rent from. I never do this but I think that people need to know, DO NOT RENT HERE. I always paid my bills on time.. And when I received my final bill from this place, I paid it right away and they said I didn't and tried to report me. They are horrible, rude and not at all helpful.
Once you move in management become so ineffective, unprofessional and often rude. I mean they seemed to be great before signing the lease and even shortly afterwards, I have to admit some of them are quite decent. But, 2 out of 3 times I'd be be really frustrated or pissed off by them and oh, I've NEVER GIVEN OUT BAD REVIEWS EVER BEFORE. So, I'm not a demanding or grumpy customer/tenant to start with. I've had multiple maintenance requests that weren't handled even after six months and at some point I just became tired of begging them and dealing with their attitudes so I gave up. Trust me it's not a light bulb or even plumbing issue. Those requests were about things you cannot fix yourself. The actual maintenance staff are quite courteous and efficient IF they ever get to your request. As for the old building and hence smelly carpet, slow and often not working elevators or lack of heating in the winter, I am actually ok with it. You get what you paid for and it's a great location with relatively reasonable price. BUT the office staff is just unacceptable and it's a pity that I am moving out solely because of that. If you ever decide to move in anyway, I strongly recommend that you check your unit comprehensively (try the window, the stove, the oven, the lock, the shower etc everything!) before signing the lease and have them fix anything that is not working properly BEFORE you move in. Because after that, you're pretty much on your own.
Worst and worst! I will move out as soon as possible! air condition cost $266 a month and still cold like Alaska! F U C K rude stuffs
This is the worst apartment I have ever lived!!! I don't understand why the office staff are so rude, especially the one named Mich...(I've forgot her name). Unless you are new comer to this building, the staff would be very impatient easily. More importantly, they are irresponsible for everything. This is the worst management staff I have ever seen. They are also liars!!! I don't know what they are doing everyday. Just sitting there, and playing computers? Totally pissed off by them. The Marylander is not worth each cent you spending.
Well, before you make a bad decision let me give you a heads up about Morgan Properties, specifically the Marylander, as I cannot speak on behalf of the other properties. At first, the Marylander seemed like the perfect place to settle down for a year or two upon moving to Baltimore. The location is great and close to so many attractions in the Baltimore area and a mere few short minutes from the harbor. The area is safe and right across from one of the Johns Hopkins campuses and next to a hospital if an emergency ever came up. Comforting, right? Not exactly. After moving into the property, things slowly became more apparent. Even after paying a ridiculously high expense on parking for two of our vehicles, we had to deal with broken elevators on a daily basis living on the seventh floor of the complex, and having gotten stuck in the elevator for nearly an hour on one occasion (what an experience dealing with the staff and elevator crew on that occasion). Bills were a different matter all on their own, as the amounts were incorrect on almost a routine basis. We had to deal with cockroaches in the laundry room as well. Even after deciding to move out early, we are still dealing with complications from the property nearly five months later. After sending in all of our closing costs and final move out expenses, we received notice from a collection agency stating that we still owed Morgan Properties money. A few weeks later, both Morgan Properties and the collection agency withdrew the final move out expenses from our accounts, causing us to pay double costs, after all of that. Just our luck, right? So as we continue to deal with this ongoing matter, make sure you investigate any property you consider moving into in the future. I am sure this property is great for some, but it was not for us.
