1. Safety (1 star) – This is the primary reason I am writing this review. The apartment is advertised as a gated complex, however this is misleading as the gates are always open. The exiting gate is typically rammed into by a car every month and it takes another month to fix. The entrance gate never closes so you have a gate clicker but you never use it. I would classify this complex as an un-gated. My car was broken into today (the door handle yanked off and back door window shattered) and the only reply I got when I spoke to management in person was, “the gate doesn’t guarantee security”. Well in their case it doesn’t do anything since it is never functional. 2. Parking (2 stars) – Up until about a month ago there were not even enough spots for residents to park within the complex. Many residents had to park on the street. Recently they made a change requiring parking permits issued by the apartment complex to be on vehicles between 10 pm and 7 am which has helped residents be able to find a spot. Many of the parking spots have a width of 7’ 5” which is less than the code minimum for “compact car” of 8’. So basically these spots aren’t even big enough for compact cars. This results in impossibly tight parking with wasted parking spaces that can’t even be used. 3. Maintenance (5 stars) – This is the only thing we have really enjoyed about this apartment. A lot of things go wrong but their maintenance is very prompt at fixing things. When calling in a service order they typically are out within 1-2 days to fix the problem. Eddie (I may have spelt his name wrong) is very helpful and personable and we have enjoyed having him over to fix things. 4. Apartment (1 star) – The apartment was built around 1995 and does not appear to have had very many updates. Many of the doors are out of square. For example, an extra wedge of material was added to our bathroom door to make up for the ½” gap on one side with respect to the other. This also leads to air infiltration through gaps in the front and sliding doors significantly increasing your cooling costs in the summer. You can feel the carpet tack strips throughout the entire apartment. After 3 months of scraping and puncturing your feet on the tack strips daily (and nightly when you get up) you will learn to walk with really light feet. The apartment smells like smoke when you move in and that smells comes back any time you leave the apartment for more than 24 hours on a trip. The clothes in your closet will eventually all smell like smoke and you will need to wash them every day before you wear them. Occasional cockroach and other bugs. Several portions of the apartment complex (especially the interior) have dead spots with multiple dropped calls daily. 5. Grounds Keeping (1 star) – There is a stark difference in the amount of outdoor maintenance on the west side of the complex compared to the east side of the complex. The west side of the complex is where the leasing office is and that is why they spend much more time and money on landscaping and maintenance on that side. But that’s how it is with every complex, the apartment you rent is in much worse condition than the one that they showed you during the tour. The east side of the complex has severe erosion and drainage problems. The drainage problems create standing water that make mosquitoes even worse. All grassy areas are infested with “dog poop” land mines. In the summer the entire complex reeks of dog feces and you feel as if you are living in a litter box. They recently reiterated that there is $200 fine for not cleaning up your dog’s crap but I doubt it is enforced. They have a nice dog park and a volleyball court where the dog’s can go to the restroom. If you are dog lover and you don’t mind the smell of their waste you will like this place. Excellent place for dogs but not a very child friendly place. If you have children, I would not recommend renting here.

Lived here several years. Pretty good rent prices, friendly staff. Beware of thin walls and barking dogs.
