My wife and I lived in Santa Rosa apartments for a one year lease. When we moved in the carpets need replacing because the previous tenant destroyed the apartment. The sewage backed up multiple times and we had to report it at least three times before they would do anything about it. We signed a no pet policy and we never had a pet in the apartment. When we moved out they charged us $150 carpet cleaning bill because of the smell of urine in the carpets. We also complained about the stove not working and they would never replace the stove and it took them two weeks to come look at our refrigerator and they only came cause we called the supervisor over all the properties. There were constantly people digging through the trash and they would steal stuff off our patio. When we would report it they would do nothing about it. The security there is a joke and would drive through the parking lot then leave. They would NEVER walk through the apartments. The manager always gave us attitude when we would report things and she was never friendly and nothing was never written down as reported. My advice is never move into this place. They rip you off when you move out and they will never get another dollar from me!

I lived in a one bedroom here for the duration of a 6 month lease and they were fair at the best of times. Pros: Online rent pay Online maintenance request forms. Cons: NO ONE IS EVER IN THE OFFICE. I actually had to pay for an extra month of rent simply because it took 3 weeks of calling the district office of GSF property management to even get someone to tell me what they needed to allow me to end my lease. The laundry facilities are less than ideal with a pre-paid card that you can only load in the office that's never open and the fact that vagrants and kids run in and out of the supposing locked area stealing clothes and dumping clean laundry out of the machines on to dirty ground. Actual maintenance is a joke I went over a month without a working dishwasher and had to make 3 request just to have it finally replaced with a refurbished unit that also has issues. ~Most if the items listed during the walk through I was assured woulf be fixed were never addressed once the lease was signed someone came by to inform me that's how it's supposed to be Which included a bathtub/shower combo that didn't drain properly causing issues with mold and was still falling through onto the unit below when I moved out . I also found out that the entire complex runs on a ceptic system.Which backed up mutiple times during the 6months I was there causing sewage to fill the plant beds and spill into the walk ways. There is constantly an issue with the sprinkler system in ine area or another that wastes hundreds of gallons of water ever night and morning that is never a top priority to be fixed; even when it's spraying int the streets and cars must change lanes to avoid the geyser or its drenching a second floor balcony instead of watering grass. Even if there isn't an issue with the sprinklers in one area a large part of the complexs walk ways and parking lots are flooded every morning and every evening due to their poor sprinkler system. The pool is not cleaned regularly and while it states in your lease you can not have guest in the small area or alcohol during spring, summer, and early fall there is always unfamiliar people with coolers and liquor, hords of unspuervised children shouting & running. There is a bi weekly shouting match between tennits usually while one party is holding crying child in the court yard. About every other month the police show up in force to arrest someone or chase a suspect through the courtyards. There are stray cats and dogs that roam around the property left by homeless and pervious tennits. While there is a security guard that drives through the parking lot aound 10pm and 4am they never even say anything to the people digging in the dumpsters or suspiciously checking out the cars parked in the lot. There are always people going through the dumpsters and panhandling anyone walking by or to and from there cars. Over all these are normally little things that I would deal with and over look on there own but as time went on and more and more issues began to compound on top of one another. When I decided to relocate and started doing research I found out they were also about $50-$100 more a month for less square footage than everyone else's in the surrounding area. After everything I am sorry I ever got involved with this place and am so glad to be out!

I lived here for about 14 months. I liked the community activities they held and how nice the kept up with landscaping and washer problems. It was difficult talking to the main staff but the maintenance guys were super nice and courteous. I know the neighborhoods around the area aren't the best and I heard a lot of police sirens there, but to reassure people. I once walked out to work and left the door open. It was wide open when I got back but nothing was missing or touched. It helped reassure me that in the community it wasn't all that bad. Will actually miss Santa Rosa Apartments.

Lived there 4 months and glad to be out. The management was unresponsive to most needs and did not return calls. My car was broken into, vandalized, and I was left with a $600+ bill to make it operational again, so do not think their courtesy patrol means anything. The paint was so thick in the apartment that the doors stuck. I was scared to have my kids close the bathroom door, because I knew that they would not be able open it without help. The windows and doors provide no hot/cold resistance to the outside, so our electric bill was usually $200/month in the winter for a 1000 square-foot place…that is ridiculous. People rummage through the trash bins almost on the hour throughout the day and night. Furniture is discarded near the dumpsters and often sits there for weeks before being removed. Be aware that they will make you pay for a professional carpet cleaning out of your deposit when you leave. I had to pay that even though the maintenance person who did the walk through agreed that the place was cleaner than when we moved in. Also, they never told us we owed any remaining utility costs when we moved out, and then a little over a month after we moved out, we received a gas bill for $1.98 with a $35.00 collection fee, and the management had no ability to deal with it on my behalf. They often just tell you to deal with it. If the management knew what they were doing, they would have taken the residual out of my despite, BEFORE returning it to me, and saved me the $35 collection fee. I would recommend against living at the Santa Rosa apartments. If you have other options you can consider, it would probably be best to live somewhere else. Good luck.

I've lived at Santa Rosa for 4 months. I spent three months without a functional dishwasher, one month without a functional refrigerator, and several winter nights without heat. The office managers are absent from the office on nearly every visit, and good luck getting anything fixed when they're not in. Avoid this place like the plague.
