Do not move into this apartment complex. Here are several reasons why: 1. The laundry facilities are a pain; if you get to the point of taking a tour of this place (please don't) the number of machines available might seem passable, but don't believe what you see. Most of the washers are broken; in the laundry room closest to our apartment, I think there were six total washing machines. Of these washers all were broken except for two. This was the case for about a year, and it hadn't been fixed by the time we moved out. Apparently management couldn't be bothered to address such an annoyance. Don't make yourself live with this. I promise it gets old. 2. They are artful at finding ways to keep your deposit. We rented from this place for five years. We were perfect residents; and by that I mean we never paid our rent late, we were careful to follow the community rules, and we really did take care of the apartment while we were there. At the move out walk-through with the local office personnel we were verbally assured that there were no problems with the apartment from their perspective. A month later we got a bill telling us that somehow problems had materialized after we left, and that not only had our deposit been used to cover these issues, but we actually owed them a little more money. Please, for your own sake, don't rent from a landlord who would do something so underhanded to good tenants. 3. The apartments are very run down and just generally gross inside. The carpets are dirty, matted, and frayed. The walls are coated in grime. The kitchen baseboards have sections where the dirt is so thickly caked on from years of hard living and poor upkeep that ten minutes of scrubbing doesn't clear through all of the filth. We found dead cockroaches in the living room several times. The kitchen cabinets are horrible. We got a rusted out sink when we moved in, and it took them forever to replace it. The appliances are dented, scratched, and antiquated. Oh, and mark every single problem you see down on your move in checklist, or they will try to charge you for it. I'll stop here. There are so many options in this area. Just rent from somewhere, anywhere, else.
the laundry room is sub-par. i can dry my laundry faster by just looking at it than the driers do. and that's fair to say only when the driers are working which is about half the time.
THEY RIP OFF...Don't even try to visit the complex. The apartments are old as hell and everything will break down soon after you move in ! Worst of all is that you will be stupidly charged a lot of money upon leaving. Like $30 for a little erasable marker line on the door and $ 40 for cleaning the stove (which I cleaned very well). On top of that the get really rude if you are not a resident any more and try to ask about the ridiculous extra charges...SO DON'T DO IT...
I've been here for a year. The College Main Apartments aren't exceptional, but they're pretty good. The bad reviews are misleading because they're out of date now. The problem employees were replaced recently and a lot of maintenance has been done since then.
I lived here for a year. The staff was friendly enough and even allowed us to have cookies from the office everyday. When things were broken it took a few weeks to get them fixed but they did get fixed. THIS IS A CHEAP APARTMENT COMPLEX, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. dont expect it to be perfect but the people were friendly and prices cheap.
