I moved into alpine February 2012. its very quiet, my apartment was nice and clean with fresh paint and new carpet, but in the summer air conditioner only cooled the living-room (one bedroom apts have no dishwasher, no central air, and no kitchen space.) so we had to move our bed into the living-room because the heat was unbearable at night. The landlord, some old lady is very delusional. Posting eviction notices on our door then claiming she had the wrong apartment, i had a couple friends come over and stand outside with me. like i said the neighborhood is quiet, and we were too, but she insisted on coming all the way from her office to us and asking if we live here, why we were here, telling us we cant stand here. it was ridiculous, and my name is on my lease. Also your car or anyone who visits car will be towed without a $20 parking pass. stray cats are everywhere. it is a very child friendly neighborhood. See them out playing everywhere. very culturally diversified as far race goes. off of the main streets. so little to no traffic. A LOT OF SHERIFFS RIDE THROUGH ALL THE TIME. i hate my neighbors. The one under me called the office and said people were in my apartment fighting, sent maintenance to my apartment. i was playing fight night champion in surround sound...they hate loud music in these apartments.. She plays favoritism on who can have what pets. i was served an eviction notice based on the rumor that i had a giant pitbull.... i did not own a dog. i had gotten a dog afterwards, a young lab, she wanted to charge me like $275 additional; on my rent for the dog every month. $399 for the one bedroom so it'da been like $674/mo . i sold the dog. i got a cat. the cat was cool, and now i have a mini dog, and ive had no problems with her so far (three days in). Ive seen other tenants with huge dogs. the lady across the street has a big bull dog that goes up to her waist, there is an old man with two really big dogs, idk the breed and she says nothing. ive seen pit-bulls out here and everything. but she insisted that i would be evicted if i had a pitbull. Pros. Quiet, Kid Friendly, swimming pool, location is great, right by an elementary school in a middle class area. nice apartments (two bdrm). close by food and shopping. low crime compared to the other three sides of town where there are murders everyday. Cons. landlord is "off the chain" stray cats, selective animal capabilities, westside of columbus

I moved into this place about 2yr ago, and lived there for about 2months. I found out that my apartment had bedbugs. everyone in my building was moving out because of the bedbugs. I never knew what bedbugs were until I moved in there. bedbugs are little bugs that hide in your beds and clothing and other parts in your home and only come out at night to feed on you. they are big to were you can see them. they leave big red marks all over your body/ my kids had marks all over them. When I told the apartment about the prob they did nothing but brought in one of their own guys to spray nothing that would help. I am just now telling my story because, after two years I am still fighting with the bugs, because when living there I passed the bugs to family and friends. I have nothing left because of this apartment I have tossed out everythong me and my children own. I am down to three outfits a pice for us because I tossed out everthing. I can not keep living like this because of this apartment giving me bedbugs, and I do not want to see anyone have to go through this. I have went back to the apartments to talk to people who live there and they are still dealing with the same thing with the bedbugs. Befor you move in this place ask them to see the apartment at night, and in most of the apartments there is a door in one of the bedrooms leading to the other apartments, ask them to open that door take a good look inside, for little brown bugs, they may be red bugs if they have feed, look for black dropping that like like mold in places, pay attition to the smell, there will be a mold smell but may smell kinda sweet. Just look aroung this is real and I have lost everything because of this place and I have no were to go and no were to turn because I have spred them to family, and I do not have the money to fix the prob and have no money to get new things. be careful!!!!
