Very expensive, prices just went up AGAIN. 730/month for my 600 sq ft 1 bed is a little heavy. Everyone's talking about bugs but I actually don't have any nor have I had any. It's been about a year and a half now and it's not too bad. I'm on the second floor and it's nice but the walls are paper thin. The inspections are a little weird but they haven't messed with anything yet. Neighborhood isn't excellent, a couple people have gone missing (lots of posters around) and my bike and some other stuff has been stolen. Some of the teens are rowdy late at night but it's pretty quiet overall. Lots of parking so there's that. Plus there's a really awesome park nearby for birding.
What a complete craphole, Tiny bedrooms, living room, no balcony. Trash smell constantly, My friend came to visit with his dog and was threatened by the mgmt to have the cops called for tresspass. A 6.7lb chihuahua!!!! oooh he will do alot of damage to the already decrepid hellhole. Water comes in through the windows, Bugs everywhere, no maintenence, 1940 Hvac systems. And $625 is a specialdeal for a studio??? Gimme a break!!! I wouldnt pay $300 for an apt there!!
Worst accommodation I've been stayed in. Pathetic maintenance service. I stayed for two and found paying $500 penalty worth to move out. Guess what, they deducted $100 from my security deposit without even stating a reason. My advice, save your money and time. This place is not even worth checking out.
If you value your things I would not suggest you move here. Serious bed bug and roach problem. The staff is nice but I really don't feel that they adequately deal with these pest problems and many people move out do to then losing their things to the bugs. And they will not warn or inform you if these problems
I have lived in Kipling Village for a year now, and it is the worst place I have ever even heard of!!!! I have been stuck here for a year now because I have not had the time, money, or help to move, but thank god I am finally able to leave! In the first 2 months, it flooded 8 times. For the first week, I was restricted to taking only baths because the cold water was broken in my shower (I got enough for it to dribble out, so I d have to fill my bathtub very very slowly). When it would flood, all they would do it ring out the padding, and stick in a ridiculously loud fan (sometimes 2 or 3) to blow at the wet spot for 24 48 hours, and sprayed this god awful perfume spray to mask the sewer smell from the flood. They never found (or looked for) the cause, just scrambled to protect their carpet. There s been several more floods later on, but that s what happened right away. There was another time where the bath tub faucet stopped working (shower head still worked) and it took them a week and coming in 3 different times to actually get it to work again. Then the heat started going out. It obviously wasn t an issue until it started getting cold out, so I d say Octoberish. The current problem is the 4th time I ve had heat issues. It s the same song and dance everytime I call: I notice I have no heat at all in the middle of the night, I call first thing in the morning, they say there will send someone over, I call back, they say it s fixed. I come home expecting warmth, and finding none, so I call emergency maitanence, they send another guy out, he s there til way after 10 (I was getting home after 7, get up at 5, 10 is unacceptable). At that point, I m lucky if a thermostat set to 90 degrees gives me 60 degrees of heat (which they have told me is perfectly fine several times btw). The kicker was the last time when they tried to tell me that my heater is working just fine, but it was a draft from my airconditioner that was making me cold, so they were nice enough to duck tape a plastic bag over it for me. This type of treatment and being constantly written off like a dumb little girl that doesn t know anything about man stuff is how I m treated all the time. As I write this, it has been THREE DAYS since I have had access to hot water (or heat)!!!!! The hot water went out 3 days ago and they still have not corrected the problem, I don't know any maitance people that are that terrible at their jobs and yet still seem to have one. With every part of me, I don't think these conditions are legal, and believe me, I am looking into it. I fully encourage everyone else to do the same.
