I know in the past there was some trouble here - BUT so many good things are happening! The owners really care and are busy updating the apartments and the club house. They even have a licensed teacher running the after school program (which is free), not a teen-ager! I can't wait to see the newly renovated club house and laundry center - at the last meeting the residents were told about the new paving coming in - it's going to look so pretty!

I am a current resident of two years in Riverwalk Apts, and I must say every review before mine is correct. The managment is awful and rude and very unprofessional. Sonny Brown, who feels as if she is the head honcho in charge is going to be the downfall of this complex. AND IS. everyone is moving out because of the lack of care of the tentants. My apt has not had any repairs after constant calling and talking to the staff. The bugs are out of control and please do not get me started on the drug use in the breeze ways. My children are always complaining about they cant play on the (broken down) playgrounds because of the drug use on them. I'm at my wits end and corprate seems to not care. The laundry room has washers and dryers that don't work and the office won't give you your money back after filing a complaint.If you are thinking about moving to RIVERRAT APTS....please dont and run in the other direction. Ditto to Everything Kyoko said. Management is awful. No one there is professional at all. They do not promptly answer to the concerns of their renters. It is very obvious that they want the bonus of filling the apartments up from providing equal housing, yet they do not want to deal with the headache that comes with it when they don't enforce the rules to deal with problem residence and their children. Since living here, they have only come to spray the apartment once. No action is taken place to fulfill any of the promises place forth on their website to their potential and current renters. If you have well mannered and respectable kids, THIS IS NOT THE PLACE FOR THEM. If you have nice property that you do not want vandalized, THIS IS NOT THE APARTMENT FOR YOU! Honestly, this apartment complex has the SAME, if not WORSE reputation of Green Meadows Townhouses. Do not be fooled by the location.

These apartments are disgusting! The apartment you move into looks NOTHING like the model that they show you. The staff is so desperate to get people to move in that they lie about everything. We were promised a free month of rent as well as a free 30 inch flat screen when we moved in. Neither of which we received. The staff is so unproffessional... the maintenance smoked in our apartment repeatedly and left the apartment reeking of smoke and even ashed in the toilet, leaving burn marks all over the seat!!! During one visit, the mainteance even slashed through a phone charger that was plugged into the wall and refused to replace it. The previous review was obviously written by an employee as an attempt at another marketing scheme... No one that has ever lived in this place would EVER say it's "beautiful." I've never seen this so-called "nature trail"... although it may be the path in the woods where people sell drugs to your kids. In fact, I was late to work yesterday because traffic was blocked due to a drug raid on several apartments. There a huge roach/ waterbug/ spider (specifically brown recluse) infestation at the apartments. The bug problem is so DISGUSTING and the office won't do ANYTHING about it. Don't bother compaining about it, because instead of correcting the issue, the staff will say YOUR house needs to be cleaned. or blame any other issues on you as well! We have had mold growing under our kitchen sink since we moved in they refused to remove the mold and/or move us into a new unit like we asked... they decided to PAINT over the mold, instead. The carpet was not even cleaned in between tenants and there was dirt, grime, dog fur and even a sticky residue that covered the entire carpet. The electric wiring is always shorting and having surges. The outlets very rarely ever work. The pool and fitness center that they list as ammenities, are NEVER!! open. The pool and gym are only open from 10-5 (and that's only if they feel like getting up and unlocking them.. LAZY!) This place is sooo gross and you get what you pay for- but in this instance, you're over paying for trash... both the property and the management team. Best of Luck in yojur apartment search, but stay away from this place!!
