I liked nothing about it. If you are reading these reviews about these apartments because you are scared if it's a good place or not, listen up. I've lived here for almost 3 years. And it's been horrible on my family. Do not. I can't say it enough. Do not come here. In the past 3 years so many things have happened that have hurt my family in so many ways. In the second year they increased rent. And most recently, they stopped taking checks. So if you are a family that uses checks to get through paying rent find another place. They may seem like they care about their residents but they don't. If they did they'd show it. And in no way do they show it. New management is cruel. Has no ability of being understanding. And doesn't care about anything besides getting money. Maintance is slow at doing their job. You have to call twice just to get someone to do their job. And worst of all the customer service sucks. If you are an employee reading this to see how your management is doing. Know this. You have hurt a lot of families. You have put families out of streets because you aren't understanding. I hope you feel like the guilt is suffocating you. Because you are what nightmares are made of. I hope you are happy with your life. And know that people are on the streets. Because of your actions.

For the first few years this was a good place to live. Recent management changes are terrible. The staff sends notices the day of regarding parking elsewhere or moving everything off the terrace. The office is frequently closed before 6. The "management" does not seem to care if residents are frustrated. Huge turn over of staff and residents. If you talk to one "manager" the next day the other "managers" know nothing of the conversation. The ground crew is nice and friendly, in my experience. For years a small group of residents took care of the feral population, including spaying and neutering. I fed the cats that stayed and relocated dozens during my time here. In fact, ground staff would call me when they found cats that needed help. One day I came home and all the bowls and dishes were gone. The feral house that was put up with full knowledge and blessing of management was destroyed. When I called the office the female manager could not be less bothered. No notice, no call, no nothing. She wasn't sure who did it or why. Happy to get out of here and would not recommend it to anyone.

I really enjoy living here. We are right next to the park and the pool, we have an awesome view of the Puget Sound and Capital building. Most dog breeds are welcome and there is no weight restriction. Everybody seems to pick up after their animals, at least we haven't had an issue with this. The staff is friendly enough. Work orders get done within that day or the next with most issues and they check up to make sure everything is working properly. The only issue that we have is that the floor in the upstairs apartment squeaks when the tenant walks across parts of the floor, we are on the ground floor. All and all I think that this apartment complex is great and they are renovating and updating a few of there apartments at a time so there are some that are very nice with brand new appliances. I recommend Montair at Somerset Hill Apartments.
