We love it here. Great community and people. We wish the grounds were kept up better however they recently got a new company so we hope to see changes. They could use more team members on their maintenance team (to their benefit they have 1200 units). We have been here 4 years now and feel very safe with 3 officers that live on the properties plus the police station down the road. It's a beautiful area!
The staff were pleasant to talk to for the most of the time. Although I really don't care about the professional attitude, I appreciate how professional they were for the most part. Management also responded to my requests on the same day or the next day at the latest. This is where my positive feedback ends. Now the negatives: at first, I liked it for the most part, until I started to find some of the minor flaws, such as some of the power outlets not working, very old appliances (I'm not exaggerating when I say this, but I seriously think they're older than me, and I'm 25 years old), and the list goes on and on... There was one power outlet in my bedroom where I would plug in the lamp, because there's no lighting on the ceiling. It didn't work. The management guy came in and fixed it for me (he was nice to talk to by the way), and that's when he told me that this apartment complex is about 30 years old, and that little outlet hasn't been fixed since. Oh my! I moved here around January 2014. Around mid April to early May (same year), I started to see bugs of all sorts crawling into my apartment (I haven't seen any roaches or rats yet, but if I do, I won't be surprised). It turns out that during day time, they dwell in the woods. During night time, they are right outside my front door. Now they are crawling on the floor, walls, my bed, and... yeah, you get the idea. I am no apartment expert, but I think it's especially bad if you are living in the basement level facing the woods. Because of this, I got skin infection. My wish at this point is I don't have to trash any furniture and/or my clothes because of the bugs crawling around. Now the water pressure in the showers... is 9 times out of 10 really weak. If I use the hot water, it does last for quite awhile (when I'm lucky), but at the same time, I can hear the pipes vibrating or such. About 2 days ago, the toilet broke down. Well, this complex is about 30 years old and hasn't been upgrades/remodeled since, so what am I going to expect, right?
SPIDERS, ROACHES AND MILLIPEDES all over the place. I would pay a little more and move somewhere else. Its gross and the staff have so much attitude like they're cute yet I have not seen ONE nearly attractive person in the office..
I have lived here for several years, and I want out now. For a long time it was a mediocre neighborhood, living side by side with drug dealers, rotten wood & old paint on the outside, and the water pressure has NEVER been what it should be. The nights were never quiet, with people racing their cars and playing their (c)rap throughout the night. New management was brought in, and it's true they've tried to clean the place up. They hired some "cheap labor" to replace rotten wood and slap some new paint on. But rent is now higher than what the apartment seems worth. The lease terms also seem a little extreme: 1. Management is allowed to enter the apartment, without notice, day or night. 2. If you want to terminate your lease early, here's what you have to do: 60 days notice + rent for those 60 days + another month's rent as, "liquidated damages." 3. In addition to #2, forget getting your deposit back, that's used to fix the place up after you move out! So you're paying 4 months of rent to stay an additional 2 months, for the privilege of parting ways. I'm up for renewal...looking elsewhere.
Prices are okay but customer service is horrible. They seem not to care about the fact that you're supporting their livelihood. And there's just not much going on in the area to keep a 20something interested. Wanting to move ASAP.
