I been to Duck House a handful of times. They are known for their Duck Dish. Remember to pre-order when you make reservations. I recently recommended my friends and I to have dinner here since they hold a big party and take reservations. The duck was dry this time around and most of the entrees were salty. My friends and I kept drinking water because of the saltiness of the food. We had a 8 course meal that consist of duck soup, lobster, the pre-order duck entree, eel w/sticky rice, beef cubes, vegi dish, deep fried shrimp, fish filet, and chow mien. Parking is rare to find so you might have to park across the street at Chase. Other than the saltiness of the food, it was quite reasonably priced for a party of 9.

Holy bageezus. This was so good! My SGV friends took me here and they weren't kidding. They've been coming to this restaurant since it was in Rosemead, since forever. And even if they claimed the taste went down a little, I LOVED it!! Make reservations early! Books up, and for good reason! Freaking delicious!! It also happens to be one of the fancier sit down places in SGV, so bring the folks to impress them! We started with "Peking Duck 3 ways" - $49. (1) "Tortilla wrap" with traditional peking duck skin and meat, green onion, cucumber, and hoisen sauce. I learned this is the traditional "Peking" way of serving, instead of with the fluffy bun (Cantonese style). Delicious and educational dinner, i likely. Take a wrap, a few pieces of skin, some meat, sauce, and some sprigs of cucumber and onions, wrap and enjoy! (2) Stir fried mung bean sprouts with duck pieces. This was AMAZING. Easily my favorite dish of the night. (3) Soup - fine, but nothing to write home about. We added the Taiwanese Sizzling Chicken, and this was my second favorite. The sauce was perfect, and the chunks of chicken were large, juicy, and so flavorful. Served in a hot pot. Amazing. Then we ordered the salt and pepper filet mignon cubes, which was tasty, but "ordinary tasty." still would happily order and eat it again, just didn't compare to how delicious the rest of the meal was. And added mushrooms. And top it off with a chrysanthemum iced tea. For 6 people, our bill came out to $18 each! Not bad at all. I know, it's $$ for SGV, but for the rest of the world, that's a damn good dinner, for under $20!! Tip: parking lot, or free on the street right outside.

YUM! Came here on a Wednesday night for dinner with a group of 8. We made 7:30pm reservations and ordered two peking ducks a couple of days beforehand. Even more awesome - they seated our group in one of their private rooms!! Which is good because we were so loud lol. FOOD: - peking duck - yummy! Served with thin pancake skins instead of the usual white buns (less carbs!) But oh so good! Duck was moist and flavorful and the skin was crispy and on point. - eel over sticky rice - easily the second best dish of the night! I LOVE eel! The eel was plump and tasty and the rice was nicely seasoned with the eel sauce. - szechuan (yu xiang) style eggplant - I love eggplant and this was delish! Slightly spicy, super soft and slippery - just the way the dish should be! - sizzling tofu with basil - hot! Be careful when you bite into it - nice basil flavor, super crisp on the outside with super soft tofu insides. - crispy golden shrimp - looked like calamari. Too much breadcrumbs, I was disappointed in this dish. SERVICE: Quick! Well, the room had a button to press every time you wanted service so that's probably why lol. We sat around after our meal and talked for a good hour too and they just left us alone. PARKING/VENUE: There's a small parking lot, which was all full but there's plenty of street parking. Venue is large (it's an Asian restaurant) and bathrooms are clean. Would def come back!

People rave how good it is. Yet I can barely tell. Perhaps I can tell the difference between good and bad, but I would pick Sam Woo roast duck over this place.

Be sure to call at least an hour in advance to reserve your duck. House fried rice and lobster are great complements to the duck feast. I HIGHLY recommend staying away from the Chinese rice wine. Hands down the worst foreign drink I've ever had.
