Typically I find reviews online to be petty and mostly garbage, written in the heat of the moment so they mean very little. That is how I got into this shit hole. It turns out those reviews are actually all correct. Except maybe the one about the cocaine, I haven't seen any drugs around these parts. Yet. To start, I've only been here for about three months. The maintenance doesn't exist. You're probably thinking that's not a big deal and you won't need to call for maintenance, but you will, considering when you move in half the shit you're renting is broken or dirty. My personal experience started with a lazy unorganized staff who only do things for you when you complain enough. It took about two weeks for them to even accept my security deposit. After that was sorted out, we decided we wanted to do a walk through of the apartment before we actually moved in, just to see one more time. The staff told us that the apartment wasn't ready to be seen yet because it's being cleaned... I wish I took pictures of the main bathroom to share before I actually had to clean the mold. Dust everywhere, door off the hinge, windows broken.. just a fuckin wreck. We turned in our move in checklist a few days after we moved in, after calling and complaining at least three times, half of the issues were resolved. After losing power the washer and dryer were down for two weeks because the codes were reset. There really is only one dumpster in this entire place. There is absolutely nowhere to park. The staff treats you like you owe them something every time you see them and the office is never open. And my dishwasher is falling out of the wall... how does that even happen? They use the excuse that there was flood damage and that's why maintenance takes so long. If you ask me, and probably anyone who lives here, they need a whole new staff and management. The only perk is living so close to Plymouth.
*** THIS REVIEW IS ABOUT THE CROSSINGS STAFF NOT THE PINNACLE MANAGEMENT COMPANY*** I'm 3 months into a one year lease and already I am regretting it. Front door to the apartment building HAD NO LOCK whatsoever when I looked at the apartment. I was told that the part was on order and would be fixed shortly. 2 months later the door was still broken and they didn't fix it until after I had to go in and report that my storage bins in the basement had gotten broken into and had words with the staff about their broken promise about their broken door. Most of the staff are unprofessional, impolite, and less than helpful. When I was explaining to the property Manger why I felt that they should pay the deductible on my renters insurance because their broken door is what allowed my storage units to get broken into the woman there told me that there was no need to raise my voice. When I explained that I wasn't raising my voice and offered to show her what someone raising their voice actually sounded like, she threatened to call the cops on me. This place is a complete waste of time and money and if I wasn't tricked by their lies into signing a lease I wouldn't be here. Whatever you do DON'T RENT FROM THIS COMPLEX. ***Updated less than an hour after leaving this review and a message with Pinnacle Corporate offices*** The Pinnacle staff I have spoken to since writing this review have been very professional about my grievances with the Crossings at Canton. I do not want this review to reflect badly upon Pinnacle just the local office staff at the Canton Crossing
Please don't waste your time or money. Also don't be fooled by the layout of the units. Staff is horrible, maintenance is a joke, and the residents well that's another joke. I agree with the previous comment. This is the Detroit of Canton!!! Ghetto and much more. Cars broke down everywhere. Large parking issues and lack of area to park. Loud obnoxious people. I could go on but, the topper of it all is.....Our apartment was filled with water on more than one occasion due to water rushing in from the patio. On the first occasion we were told to sop it up with towels. Which we did, and had to leave towels next to the patio most of the time to prevent intrusion. But the last one was the last straw. To wake up at 6am with over 2-3 inches of standing water covering the living area. After making several calls for someone to help. Finally at near 5pm they showed up. With a vacuum sucker and fans. At no time did they try fix the problem intrusion problem. Bottom line if you like to pay for crap and head aches then this place is for you. But beware at your own risk! Oh and cops are always around. Best time to check out the place is a Friday or Saturday night around 12am. Counting the police cars and making sure your doors are locked are not one of my favorite pass times. But each to they're own !!!! In our unit the first month a man was drug out of his apartment and beat in the parking lot! I could go on and on and we've only been there 8 months and are counting the days until are lease is up!
If you want to waste your valuable time of your life you can move in these apartments. The worst apartment I ever lived in. The staff is Horrible. There is no trash cans near apartment... Only place to throw trash is near leasing office... which is 0.5 miles from most of the apartments. Only 1 parking spot per apartment.. if you have more more than one car you have to park the car outside the apartment complex. No Security at all. Maintenance ppl are very rude (Specially Head Jennifer). they will almost take 2-3 week to fix small stupid thing. I am waiting to get over my 1 year lease so that I can move out. I would not recommend this place to anybody.
my experience was awful too. its basically the southwest detroit of canton. I have been asked to purchase "white" on more than one occasion, and had no idea what it was until the black man flashed about a pound of cocaine to me. the front doors rip right open, and they didnt fix them the whole year i was there. there's only one dumpster in the whole complex so have fun hoarding your trash if you dont live within a mile of it. Also, the roof was redone this past year, good thing right? wrong. there's holes in every room, water, debris, and bugs are every where. the staff is rude and uneducated on how to help a renter out when they need something fixed. also, forget about that 24 hour maintanence ( they'll just get to it when they can) so roughly two weeks. i mean, if this sounds like your cup of tea, feel free to rent my apartment for the last few months of my lease. trust me, you WILL regret moving here.
