What a wonderful experience!!!! The Camellia Team Room was more than we expected. A small group of us celebrated a 75th birthday of a dear friend. Her wish was to have high tea!!! We couldn't have asked for better food, service, surroundings and the lovely people!!!! We will for sure return!!! Each of us highly recommend the Camellia Team Room in Benicia. It's a must for any occasion!!!

My wife and I have been coming to the tea room many, many times over the past five to six years. We have brought business and work associates plus some friends from England. Without fail ourselves and everyone we've brought enjoyed it tremendously. Any type of tea you might want and if your not sure they'll ask some questions and, based on your answers, make suggestions. The food is always good. In addition to sandwiches and salads traditional tea is also served with mini-sandwiches and scones. Delicious! Be sure and order the tomato bisque. It's made from a secret recipe which they won't give out. I like that.

I have been to this place about three times, and more recently in the past 2 months. I took one of my nieces here who was getting married and thought it would be nice to treat my daughter for her birthday. My reservations were at 1pm,and I arrived earlier than my daughter. She was coming from Alameda with a friend who dropping her off. Upon my daughter entering, there was also 2 other ladies coming in the door. I don't know who the lady is behind the "tea" counter, but she greets people upon arrival. When she saw the 2 ladies come in just before my daughter, whom my daughter saw me already sitting and tried to proceed pass this older employee, the "greeter" abruptly stopped my daughter asked if she needed help? My daughter replied,"I'm here with my mom, who's right there." Then my daughter's friend, who also came in,just wanted to say hello to me,was also rudely stopped upon entering. I don't know who this older lady is,maybe she was in the military at some point, but really? You should be a little bit more friendlier and let the people come into the door before stopping them flat out as if they were greeting the President of the U.S.. I mean she acted like that the entire time my daughter and I had our tea, which unfortunately I don't think I'll be returning, although I wanted to bring my grand daughter there when she gets older, but that won't be happening. A kinder, more gentler greeter would make this place much better,I don't care who she is,maybe the owner or manager, but she needs a better attitude! ~thank you,C.Elizabeth Cano

This is the place to meet girl friends or take your little girls. The classic tea is awesome and is served on a raised stand. Tea and a sandwich is usually my choice. Yesterday I had the Italian Tuna on rustic foccacia and the always wonderful creamy tomato bisque. Tea selection is huge. There's also wine if you want. Near to artists studios, shops and waterfront for a walk afterwards.
