The leasing office will treat you like you are the best customer when trying to sign a new lease. But when you are re-signing the lease after an year. They will increase your rent from any where to 7 to 10%. when trying to negotiate the increase the manager says take it or leave it. Being loyal and paying rent on time doesn't matter to current management. Also they will come up ways to fine on things that you even don't know exists. Like have a chair on the balcony of the apartment. But, when you complain that you have noise problem with neighbors they policy is that they won't involve with problem, the only solution is call cops. one good I can say is the maintenance group is pretty good. they will fix your issue within a day or two. The apartments are not that bad to live in. The noise is a problem, and you can clearly hear the neighbors talking in your bed room.

Where should i begin? Let me first say that you will receive a great sales pitch from the leasing agents about how they will bend over backwards to make your life as pleasant as possible. Even do little things like placing your packages in your apartment for you! Dont believe it for a second!. I will say that the leasing team that was present when i first moved in was almost completely replaced with a new team, who are a slight improvement over the last group. Oh and the only agent that didnt get replaced is the worst leasing agent they have but i digress. Let me say that the actual structure of the apartment itself was acceptable. Its the surroundings that make it a hard place to stomach. You have what they call a "lake" right next to the complex which would maybe be nice to walk around it if wasn't a mosquito breeding ground! On many an evening my wife and I literally ran into our apartment trying to escape the swarms. At one point I became quite ill after a string of mosquito bites and yes I would try to use repellent but wading through a swarm of hundreds of mosquitos is never pleasant and theyre persistent. If you have kids please keep this in mind. If you have a pet and clean up after your pet, as we do, then be prepared to be shocked as no one in the complex seems to believe picking up after their pets is necessary. The neighbors for the most part mind their own business and ill skip the whole "The walls are paper thin" comment since id hope you all should be aware that apartments by their very nature are never going to be as quiet as say your own single family detached home. But yes you will hear the kids running around and playing in the hallways while their parents engage in some "personal" time. Of course there are also the individuals who think that the streets in the complex are a highway and will proceed to take off at 40 or 50 miles an hour while still in the complex. Then you will have the occasional family gathering at the pool where the one member who actually lives in the complex will invite over 45 of their closest relatives. Then you have the occasional Ma ri ju anna smoker who likes to hang out on his balcony and light up showing the whole complex hows he ohh soo cool. The best part is the CRIME!! Yup the unrelenting and persistent crime. In the 10 months i lived at the complex I had packages stolen off my doorstep on 4 separate occasions and I had my vehicle vandalized. Ive lived in several complexes over the years and never had this happen. I spoke to the office about it and they just shrugged it off and dismissed our concerns. NOT ONCE did they send out a notice to the complex warning them about the constant crime. I guess that would make them look bad! Instead of the complex addressing my concerns and maybe doing something simple like placing a camera facing the building to see who walks in and out of that area, they simply go about their business pitching this as a perfect place to live. Oh and by the way there is a gate to enter the community but its almost always propped open on the weekend or people just wait and drive in after someone else opens it for them. The apartments themselves are overpriced for what you get. There are much nicer locations out there. Also pearland itself is poorly planned if you go down to broadway to do any kind of shopping you will encounter traffic since they decided to put one business after the other on top of each other and make only a few entrances and exits! Google map it and youll get an idea what im talking about. I finally moved out of the complex and while other complexes ive lived in promptly have sent me my deposit back Alexan has stalled and dragged their feet on this. Ive called them several times to get this taken care of and all i keep getting is well itll be a few more weeks. In summation dont frustrate yourself by living there you can find more affordable and more secure apartments out there.

I read some of the previous posts and I don't see where they get some of these issues... I for one don't have any problems here. Lived here for over a year and if it wasn't for the fact I want to move into a house, I would stay here. Communications is a small problem when it comes to you receiving packages, but other than that I would recommend to family & friends.

Employees are incredibly rude and unprofessional. the apartments are nice, but the service is very unfriendly. Personally, I can deal with The hallways are absolutely filthy and covered in litter and cigarette butts. Half of the lightbulbs in the hallways don't work, and haven't since I moved in here back in July '10. It's now May. Office paperwork is incredibly disorganized.
