This is a great place to live if you want a management staff that have the minds of inbred children. The baby boomers that are your so called "neighbors" act like they have money but they are really just low ballers who think they are part of the upper crust of society. And the best part about this apartment complex is that they are overpriced to give the illusion that they are an upscale apartment complex. On top of all of this the elderly women will have your car towed if you take their parking space during the middle of the night. There is also no parking spaces to begin with so if you are the kind of person who likes to walk a half a mile to your own apartment Alexan Withers Preserve is perfect.

Hi my name is Cassandra I moved to alexan withers preserve in April and from the moment I walked in the office I was welcomed with open arms. When I was given my keys to my new home it was stunned on how nice and beautiful it was. The rugs are beautifully well kept and clean, kitchen nice hard wood floors with nice tile backsplash. nice size for a dinning room that runs nicely into the living room and the porch or deck is so nicely larger then your normal deck. The bedroom is a little small but not bad cause the closet is so big that it totally makes up for it. Finally the bathroom is nice and spacious and has nice wood cabinets if I didn't have to move I would buy my place to stay forever. The landscaping here is amazing very well kept and when something is wrong or needs to be fixed they are on top of it the very next day. The pool and play room here are great and beautiful everyone is so nice and everyone knows everybody. They also have a amazing dog park for your best friend. This place is a vacation right outside your front door I love it here two thumbs up.

Personally i think this place is overpriced, you can rent an apartment in the actual market common for $100 more. Staff is very unfriendly to younger people but sure don't mind taking your money at the end of the month. Aslo the pet policy is only lenient to some people because ive seen rottweiler and other aggressive looking breeds of dogs around the neighborhood but SUPPOSEDLY they aren't allowed. needless to say i didn't renew my lease

I do not personally live here, but I can honestly say I would never after experiencing my friends first 3 days here. The lease agreement was rushed and the two occupants weren't even given a day to read it over. Various verbal agreements were also not included in the actual lease such as the 10 o'clock quiet hour. The leasing agent assured them they would love the apartment they were put in. Approximately an hour after arriving to help them unpack and move in the first day my friends cousin was told by the downstairs neighbor that she was pregnant and had a 4 year old and that we were to be quiet or else. After about another hour the downstairs neighbor came up pounding on the door about noise, and keep in mind that at this point minor settling of furniture is all that is happening. No dvd's are in the house. There is no music, no tv at all, simply voices and some walking from three people and not at all in a loud or unreasonable manor as per the leases guidelines. She came up 3 more times with multiple complaints including," you have dogs they are living and they move", and then called the police. When the police arrived they were quite curious as to why they were called since they could clearly see that it was the first night in the apartment and as they stated, " we didn't hear anything while approaching the apartment." I told the two tenants to call in a complaint and talk to the leasing agent in the morning since they were given a 30 guarantee on their apartment. I was not there but on relay of the conversation it is clear the leasing office is going to do nothing for them. They will not move them to a new apartment or even try to correct the situation. I am 28, however these residents are younger and clearly have been discriminated upon based upon age. I can also say as someone who has leased repeatedly there are other issues. The carpet is paper thin and has barely any matting. The toilet paper rolls were broken to fit toilet paper holders that were in properly installed. The kitchen light was hanging precariously low and in danger of shattering. The bar counter in the kitchen has a huge crack and was made poorly. I could list a few more but I think my post speaks for itself. Don't live here if you are young, or if you have pets. If you have pets and you do move here prepare to pay 300 down per pet only to have neighbors complain of them moving and potentially getting you evicted. These apartments have squeaky floors and are fairly shoddy in their construction. If you do choose to look at this place make sure you meet your neighbors first and really take a good look around the apartments. Also please do yourself a favor and really read the lease agreement. There are plenty of places just as nice at lower prices with less restrictions and nicer leasing agents. Also there are three bedroom homes in the same price range in many parts of Garden City and Myrtle Beach. Steer Clear of this disaster.

I love living here. I did the usual search of reviews before I signed my lease so that I knew what I was getting into. And I was concerned about the complaints I read. I still signed the lease because the place is gorgeous and provided the amenities I wanted. I have been here 4 months and am not disappointed at all. Can I hear my neighbors? Sometimes, but it isn't anything extreme or unlivable. Are there unsavory people around? I haven't met any yet. Everyone that I have met are friendly, generous and accommodating. Is it possible that unsavory people live here? Possibly, but guess what, that's going to be the case wherever you live, no matter how much you pay in rent. I'm a single woman and am told I'm relatively attractive, yet I have never been assaulted, approached, harassed or made to feel uncomfortable whether at the pool or anywhere else in the complex. Whenever I have an issue within the apartment, it's just a matter of placing a "maintenance order" with the main office, and the maintenance guys come over to fix it within 24 hours (ie., same day or next day at the most). The folks who work in the office are extremely friendly and accommodating, as are the maintenance staff. There are a lot of people who live here who have dogs. I have yet to see any dog poop anywhere. And as for getting charged when moving out, there is a form that gets filled out by the maintenance guys who inspect the unit before you move out. You are able to go thru the inspection with them and discuss/debate the items that might be identified. The one and only complaint I have is that there aren't enough kids here for my son to play with. But other than that, I foresee myself being here a long time. I'm very happy with my choice and highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in renting here.
