Been here 3 months and have had no problems out of the ordinary. We requested new carpet since we have a 1 year old and got it. The apartment looks great inside; the few problems we have had (leaky faucet, stopped toilet, ice maker not working) were fixed rather quickly. The neighbors are quiet. Overall very satisfied...

You know the movies where the plot lines keep getting the main character deeper and deeper in to some kind of hole he dug...well this place reminds me of that hole. Ok, so arriving the place looks picturesque, white picket fence type in the beautiful suburb of Suwanee. That is where the fun ends. A picture of AMLI @ McGinnis Ferry should be posted next to the term "nickle and dime" in any type of urban dictionary. From forgetting to let me know when to renew my rent, or just not caring, to Office Space style stealing money from my bank account this place is truly the arm pit of America. Oh, and if you are robbed on their property and want to move, they make you pay a large fine to move units. Wait, you have a mold infestation? Pay to move units. Les Mis song "Master of the House" is their theme song.

I have lived here for 10 months so far and it has been great. Based on the bad reviews I keep waiting for something awful to happen, but I've only been pleased. The apartment is very nice and pretty quiet. They are constantly keeping the facilities up, so they still look really nice even though I suspect they are getting older. We love the pools and have no issues with the laundry facilities or gym. I've only had one issue - our hot water heater started dripping behind the locked closet door. I called, and they came to fix it within a couple hours. Their 48-hour service guarantee is really nice - after 48 hours, if your issue isn't repaired, you live free for each additional day until it is resolved. They are really good about emailing anything happening around the community - maintenance, power outages, etc. Seems like people are quick to complain about little things, but the other 99% of satisfied people tend to stay quiet. I would recommend AMLI to anyone - in fact I have a girl friend moving in next month.

I'm changing my review from a 2 star to a 4 because after I sent a complaint, I was given an apology and have received excellent customer service. I am now living in the apartments and while it hasn't been long, the staff has been great so far. sr 1/5/14 I called today and spoke with a sweet girl (I think her name was Amanda) and told her that I wanted to apply for an apartment, but wanted to see it first in person and that I would be leaving work to go straight there. I told her where my work is located and asked if she thought I would make it there in time, since I had never made the drive before. She told me that the office closes at 6p and that they stop showing apartments at 5:30p due to it getting dark earlier. She also said she was familiar with the location of my work and that I would probably be there before 5:30, no problem. So I left work on time, but with traffic and a few wrong turns, I arrived exactly at 5:30p. I explained that I phoned ahead and just wanted a quick peek at the apartment so I could go ahead with my application. It was still day light and there were 3 ladies in the office. The manager, I think her name is Charmane Folds, informed me that they wouldn't allow me to see it because I had arrived too late, and that they need to be consistent and not show apartments after 5:30. I thought this was odd, because the office closes at 6p and it was still light out. At any rate I left very frustrated. I thought someone should know that I have decided I no longer wish to live there and will be looking for other options. The apartments look awesome, my best friend lives in the AMLI in Austin, TX. I was very excited and eager to be a resident, but truthfully, I don't want to have to deal with someone like that, and if she's the manager, life is just too short.

The new manager is going to be great. Best manager ever.
