Started out great then went down hill. I hate moving so I'll deal with some issues rather than move because ever place will have some. Move in and everything seemed great. Issues Moved from out of state, talked with them and set up an apartment with a garage for April it was January. Apon driving 1800 miles i go to the office on Sunday to move in, and they are closed. Why didnt anyone call? So I'm in a new town with movers coming to help unload a uhaul in 3 hours and i dont have a place to sleep. Great how awesome is that. My apartment and garage, were on different sides of the complex. I was promised a garage closer to my apartment once they cleaned out a storage one for maintenance. Didn't get one until I was paying rent one day and herd that someone new moving in was going to get a garage in 2 weeks because someone was moving out and I raised hell. Live there for a couple months then they had to shut the water off for repairs/service. Cool, great, but 7 times in a 3 month window? Some with no notice. My windows wouldn't say up, the springs broke, schedule a repair order, they got fixed, then broke, got fixed again, then broke again. Was giving widow locks to hold them open due to they were only going to keep breaking, "they are old widows, and they only way to fix then it's to replace the whole window with new ones" like that would ever happen. Security gate is a joke: it was broken for well over a month, got a new gate system went from cards to key faub, computer crashes, and gates wouldn't open, so you had to wait for someone to come out. You have to have a local number to be put in the gate system, wasn't told that upon move in. Same with the update gate system. Promised new lighting fixtures when renewing my lease in April, said it would be installed sometime in May (they would call and schedule due to it being on back order) I didn't get it until January when I put in work order for the garbage disposal not working, they "forgot about it because it was so long ago and thought all were done." Ive never been a fan of having someone in my place with out me there and for that reason I never give permission to enter. An appointment was set to have the light and disposal done. I hear a faint knock on my door , as I walk over to the door the bottom lock turns and unlocks. Good thing i have a top lock that only works from the inside. It was the worker, but they dont have permission to enter so why break into my place?? Still dont have an answer is to why, have been told multiple times I would get an answer. Was mislead about the suredeposit. They will nickel and dime you to death when you move out. Broken window slats. Weren't new when I moved in, plastic and my unit faced west, they are going to break. 4 were broken. I would run, I'm never going back to a Mark Taylor unit again

I had a mixed experience here but over all a good one. One day i came home and the maintenance man had been in my apartment while i was at work to resurface my tub. I wasn't given any notice, my apartment spelled like toxic fumes for a few days, and the management said i couldn't take a shower for one day while the tub sealed. But, they did allow me to use a vacant apartment to shower so that made up for some of it. I feel safe here, the parking is good for me and guests. No other problems to report. The place is pretty quiet most of the time and pool\gym is nice. This place is real convenient with the i-10 right there. I would recommend this place for a bachelor like myself.

I'll let you decide the rating of this place. 1. The walls are indeed thin. I can hear the conversations in the parking lot from the 3rd floor as well as the bumping of music next door or the people walking up the stairs. 2. If you choose to live here, pick a spot in the back. There is more open parking spaces. 3. The rooms are spacious but the kitchen and bathroom appliances and counters are in need of an upgrade. 4. Business center computers RARELY work. Sometimes one or two will work but will make the other one slow down and so far, the printer has not worked the times I went to use it. Management is at least nice enough to print stuff out for you although it'd be nice if they just got it all fixed. 5. Pool is nice as well as the gym equipment although I've only took advantage of those amenities a handful of times. 6. Maintenance has been pretty good in my experience. They will usually get to my request same day or next and leave a slip saying they were there and what they fixed. 7. Management are not rude, they are friendly although it doesn't seemed genuine. Rather forced. The blonde girl and this other girl seem to have a genuine attitude. They are good at answering questions but not great at solving problems. Some past experience showed me that they tend to have a nonchalant attitude at something I thought would be important. 8. The key doesn't unlock the door from the inside when your getting out of the "mailroom". You have to unlock it from the outside but I'm sure they knew about that. 9. Its best to have a small skinny car or a motorcycle. Depending where you are, some spaces are compact and some residents don't know how to park correctly. I have had to enter through my passenger side on multiple occasions. 10. Annoying things about the apartment itself: in my apartment, the water heater is right above the dryer being held on by a slanted slab of concrete and there is no hallway or laundry light so its rather dim. I noticed by balcony was also slanted. Like I placed a water bottle on the floor and it rolled to the edge. Every time I used the stove or oven, right away it smells like something burned. Dishwasher would majority of the time leak even on water saver mode. The fridge had a raunchy odor even after we cleaned and threw food out. Fridge odor filter stuff worked just fine for it. There are indeed other apartments close by that I've checked out that were actually worth their price and even cheaper. I expected better quality from a Mark Taylor apartment. I wish they'd address these issues or lower the prices based on the quality instead of just apologizing like there's nothing they can do about it. Also, they are currently doing something with the roads that's blocking off sections of the complex. If there was barely any parking before, there is definitely NONE now. I personally don't feel comfortable parking far and walking that long distance at night. Just saying. I'd get out of I could but I can't afford to break my lease now. Despite everything, its bearable if you squash your expectations and just be happy you have a place to live that's close to a lot of decent places.

Nice place, a little expensive but nice pool area, gym, and volleyball court. Only real bad thing is that they have a gated entrance which uses a keycard instead of a code. There is a box that guests can use to punch in your apartment number and it will call your cell phone to open the gate, however you must have a local number. Now a days with cell phones and people moving around the country and they are keeping the same number they've had for over a decade. You cannot use a non phoenix area code phone number with the gate system, so you are out of luck unless you get a local number. These days area codes mean nothing since long distance is pretty much free now, so it's a shame they won't upgrade their gated system.

This apartment complex is awful. The walls are so thin that you can hear your neighbor's tv and the floors shake when you walk on them. Mark Taylor rips you off and makes you think that you're renting out a great apartment but they're terrible. The manager sucks and i couldn't wait for my lease to be up so i moved out before it was even over. Check out the apartments nearby, they're way better overall and are actually a bit cheaper.
