Location is great and so are the grounds. Apartments are small but reasonable. BE CAUTIOUS if you want to terminate your lease early, the penalty fees are extremely high: two full months rent plus $50/mo left on the lease...just in penalties, and then you have your security deposit. If you don't mind a small apartment and stay for the full term then all is good, but if that is not you, then beware.

I have lived here for over 2 years and love it. It's a pretty setting by the bike path. When I needed repairs they were quick and took care of it. The pool is great in the summer. Nice place to live.

In all honesty - I think most reviews are written by people with a grudge. Don't pay your rent - get evicted - write a nasty review on the apartment community's website. It's standard these days. Arrowhead is a great place to live. The office staff is wonderful - unless you're an idiot. Have a loud party at 2 a.m., end up with the cops visiting as your neighbors fill the office answering service with complaints? Don't be surprised if they aren't warm and fuzzy. Invite a dozen rowdies to a "pool party" (you're allowed two guests) and one of them has obscenities tattooed in large letters across his back? He gets drunk and prances about in front of fellow residents' elementary school kids? (Yes - this happened) Do NOT expect the office staff to admire your friend's tat. To repeat (since the review I read that made me want to write this mentioned how "terrible" they are): the office staff is top notch. I've seen them bend over backwards for people - myself included. The maintenance crew is excellent - respond quickly and repair things correctly. The community is not brand new but most of the apartments have been remodeled. If you're interested in saving a couple of bucks they will discount your rent based on what items haven't been updated. I moved to a new unit last year after living in the same one for nearly 15 years - I received a discount because I took a unit that had not been completely updated. I liked the updates they showed me - but decided I'd rather save the money. The grounds are nice and well kept, building interiors and laundry rooms are cleaned weekly (some apartment communities don't clean them at all - they expect residents to do it - I have a friend who lives in one like that and she pays more rent than I do). Common areas are repaired as needed and well maintained, most residents seem to care about where they live and respect their neighbors. Yes - you can find the one or two who don't but that's a situation you will face everywhere. I've been very, very happy here for over 20 years now. Began by renting a one bedroom unit, then moved to a two bedroom after starting a home based business. Think 20 years is a long time? There's a half-dozen tenants who have lived here even longer. Yes - I could have paid off my house BUT I've never put a roof on (and they've replaced the roof twice since I've lived here) I've never put in a hot water heater (they've replaced that a couple of times, too) never mowed a lawn (they do that weekly during the season), never planted a flower (they do that, too!), never shoveled (they plow in winter and sprinkle salt when needed), never repaved my driveway (they've repaved the parking lot two or three times since I've lived here) - the list goes on and on. I'm very happy with the service they provide in exchange for my monthly rent. I live less than two minutes off I-275 (less than a minute if you hit the lights right - 3 - 5 minutes in morning/evening rush hour), am within a few miles of a large variety of grocery and drug stores and a selection of restaurants. So don't believe whiny internet reviews. Come visit this place - and maybe any other place you think you might like - drive through and look around. Ask a couple of residents you see out walking what they think of the place and then stop into the office and ask for rent prices and see what's available. From what I understand Arrowhead is usually quite full - and for good reason. I'm very happy living here. I think any person who follows the terms of their lease, is reasonably respectful of their neighbors and wants to live in a nice neighborhood would be very happy here too.

Very responsive to any maintenance problems. Great staff. Don't like apartments but this place is pretty good.
