Our experience at Barrington Place has been troubling. We are paying over 1,000 dollars a month and have not been able to use our master bedroom closet because of cooking smells emanating from our neighbors. We have spoke with management but nothing has been done to alleviate this problem. I am one who is not sensitive to smells at all, however, due to these smells I have been nauseated. The insulating is poorly done in the apartment. It is either too hot or cold in the apartment. Due to this, I would not recommend living at Barrington Place. There are better values in the Montgomery Metropolitan Area

Overpriced, small, dirty, outdated, and poorly insulated. I've lived in many apartments over the last 12 years, and this these are by far the worst value. I've never payed this much for an apartment yet lived in much nicer places. Not only do you pay rent that is much too high, you have to pay for everything else (internet, water, etc). There is almost no storage space aside from the bedroom closets. The place is poorly insulated so it's hot in the summer and freezing in the winter (your electric bills are going to be high if you want to be comfortable). Smells travel through the walls so expect to smell what your neighbors are cooking every night. We no longer use our master bedroom closet because of the strong smell coming from the neighbors apartment (their kitchen backed up to our closet). We actually sealed it off with weather stripping and had to throw away several items of clothing because the smell was so strong. The management buried her head in the sand when we complained about this problem. The appliances in the kitchen were filthy when we moved in and I was unable to remove a lot of the dirt/stains since they obviously hadn't been updated or cleaned in years. There are nails under the carpet where patch jobs have obviously been done, the linoleum always looks filthy no matter how much we clean it. The outsides of the buildings desperately need pressure washing but it looks like they've never even done that at all. Save your money and live at a cheaper place or at least spend you're money wisely if you can pay a lot in rent. We were in a hurry to move so didn't have time to do our research, or we would have chosen differently. Can't wait to get out of here!

When I moved in 10 years ago, the staff was quite willing to make sure the property was nice and it was a premier residential area. Now, there is no interest in making sure that tenants are following rules. For example, pets being walked should be followed by owners who clean after their pets. Today cars are parked all over the streets, trucks and vans are all over and management is unwillling to enforce the lease agreements which stipulate that those with garages should use them for parking. I've been here a long time and have never had to endure a management group as unfriendly and as unwilling to help tenants as this group.

Moved here less than six months ago, and I am very disappointed/displeased with the staff (front office) on: 1. how they handled my move in process, 2. their lack of knowledge, 3. their disregard to answer the phone during hours of operation, 4. keeping me on hold for an extended period of time 5. and not even having the courtesy to call back. I am a huge fan/believer in giving good customer service, whether it’s a sale position or not! I will not be renewing my lease.

Overpriced "gated" community that literally anyone can drive into. Awful tenants and terrible management. If you can afford their ridiculous rates, do yourself a favor and get a decent place elsewhere and put the remainder toward something more pleasurable than living here: like a colonoscopy or invasive oral surgery.
