Been here about seven months, and I'm ready to counter all the negative reviews I read about BCL while I was shopping apartments. The rooms are nice, clean, all the appliances are new, each room has TV and W/D. All my requests have been met quickly by the maintenance staff. The gym, pool and grills are really nice amenities, along with the party room and TV room seen above. The staff regularly has parties and brunches for us, and just started offering free yoga classes on site. Never had an issue with guest parking, if the lot is full, they can park down each side of Bartons Bluff. I also frequently jog to Zilker or the Green Belt from my apartment. Only con I can think of is the rates, which are pricey. Time for people on this page to give credit where credit is due.
Amazing pool, and most of the staff cares about the residents. They really made an effort to improve parking over the last year and it shows. A little overpriced, just like the rest of Austin, but oh well. Great for dogs with secret access to the Greenbelt. Close enough to bike or even walk to Zilker, as shown by the parking lot full of ACL-ers.
I have lived in this apartment many years and would like to give this apartment a 5 star rate. Their management team, from previous April, Julian and Matt, to current staffs, are awesome. They respond to their resident's claim very fast and take immediate action to fix any problem or figure out a solution for the problem. You really do not need to worry about out-of-working appliances here, as they take care of them immediately. This is an elegant community with great green belt trails towards town lake. Its mixed hill country and urban lifestyle affords a place that is called home. It is belong to Eanes ISD, a great school district. Although the parking lots are a little bit lacking, residents here can still find alternative solution to park their car. I would give them a 5 star plus rate if they can provide more parking lots as several years ago.
I have really enjoyed living here over the last 11 mos. The greenbelt is easily accessible from the community, one of the trails leads directly to Barton Springs. My friends came in town for ACL, it was easily walkable to Zilker Park. Parking can be scare but managment has recently implemented visitor parking outside of the community, which is great because the residents paying rent deserve the open parking spaces. Not to mention, every apartment comes with one covered parking space. Definitely recommended for location, upgrades, and amenities.
Barton Creek Landing - This seemed like a good choice of a place to live. Relatively cheap for the location, decently renovated apartments, and so on. You get what you pay far. Do you like to have any guests over? Don't expect them to find parking. They elimated all of the guest parking, so its better they just take a taxi to your place. On move-out, they charged us for all new carpet, claimed the pet deposit ($350) was a pet fee (even though the manager called it a pet deposit), and monthly pet rent of $20 was the same, none of which cover an charges. Then on move-out, they mysteriously extended our lease for an additional week and charged us at the higher MTM rate for that week. Then claimed that the 60 day notice was submitted on day 55 (even though it was agreed on because we were out of the country). So, if you hate having friends over, love having money stolen from you, and like living in a cave of an apartment, live here.
