obviously horribly constructed. I would not advise going out on the patio... you might end up falling a few stories to your death. another example of irresponsible landlords and housing management taking advantage of the housing shortage for students in Berkeley.

I've called Library Gardens home for almost 5 years now while i love where it sits, unfortunately it has a slew of problems. Its expensive, has no amenities realistically. Management is not capable of doing what they are asked time and time again. Its incredibly and horrifically frustrating. The package acceptance is usually a nightmare because they aren't ever there to accept packages or for you to obtain them after they have been accepted. The management while well natured is often callous and generally doesn't genuinely care. They are understaffed and under payed. It's often just a huge headache to live here sometimes. Oh the onsite laundry is a mess. The washing machine does a better job of drying my clothes than the dryer does. The machines themselves are horrible and dysfunctional. It's loud because its in downtown. The elevators are slow and often break down. The windows and building materials are crap. Theres no air conditioning and ventilation is poor. The layout if horrifically confusing. Theres a huge homeless problem in the stairwells and laundry rooms. Creepy solicitors often sneak into the building and go door to door bothering people. Anyways you should only rent here if you're willing to make serious sacrifices for the convenience.

Great location and good system for the laundry but that's it ! This place is awful. You can hear everything that goes on in other parts of the building from your flat. I've had sleeping difficulties because of the level of noise. It's simple really ! Just make sure that there are proper windows with glass pannels you can open and close that are noise-proof. The walls are not thick enough either. The showers and the sinks are terrible. Sort out the plumbing folks! How hard can it be? This place has no warmth. It feels like an asylum. Seriously if you're a student don't come here !
