If it was possible to give a 0 star rating, that is what I would give Campus Club Apartments. I walked in and signed my lease last January, knowing to expect my apartment to look a little bit different than the models. However, nothing could have prepared me for the disgusting mess in which they expected me to move into. The moment you stepped through the door, you were hit with such a strong urine smell it was nearly impossible to continue walking in. There was trash throughout, bags of garbage on the back porch, food and MOLD in my fridge, smoke stains throughout the apartment, mold in all of the bathrooms, mattresses that were so stained it looked like someone had died on them, broken and cracked electrical sockets, a completely black air filter, and animal urine all over the blinds. When we went up to tell the office this was absolutely unacceptable and should not be considered move in ready, we were blown off, told that someone had walked the apartment earlier that morning. We eventually got someone to come up to the apartment, and was told I was not allowed to move in for 2 more days so they could clean, even though that was supposed to be done before move in, and my lease had already started. It was obvious that the THOUSAND DOLLAR security deposit was not used to clean the place at all. They had to have a machine running for 48 hours just to dull the smell, and then I had astronomical overages that month because of it, which I was held liable for. It took more than a week of going up to the office everyday to get my MOLDY fridge replaced, and every time I walked in the office, I was greeted by eye rolls and a completely unprofessional attitude. My apartment then had fleas for A MONTH, during which they refused to send an exterminator out more than once a week. I had so many bites all over my legs, I could not live there that month, it was uninhabitable. All of the furniture is stained, painted on, scratched to hell, and looks downright awful and nothing like the model. The outside of all the doors, at least of the 3rd building, are so discolored and beaten up, it looks as though all of them had been attempted to be broken into, and you feel very unsafe there. There is no security guard, no safety measures at all, and the lights are all broken in the hallway. The bugs in the back are so bad, I had to run into my door every night. It's quite obvious that the buildings have not been cleaned in years, if ever. When I told the office about a nest of huge spiders outside my door, they simply said it wasn't their problem and there was nothing they could do. The buildings are dusty, dirty, moldy, and downright scary for an 18 year old female. More recently, when I noticed a discrepancy in my lease, I got it confirmed 2 months prior that I was correct and to not worry, yet when the time came, the problem in the computer was not fixed, and since management refuses to deal with anything over the weekends, the problem did not get resolved until after rent was due, and then I was charged a late fee because it took too long to fix the problem. I am still dealing with the aforementioned problem, 7 days later. Management seems to have absolutely no respect for their tenants, their money, and no system of organization. They are completely unprofessional, and consistently act as though you are a waste of their time, and do not communicate with each other, so even if you have one manager tell you something, the one you see the next day will have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. The entire system under which the complex is run is inefficient, disorganized, and a hassle. My happiest day here will be the day I turn in my keys. Please do not sign here. It is not worth the hassle, your time, or the stress.

There are many apartment complexes in Gainesville, and at times it may seem difficult to choose which would best fit your needs. In these last four years I have visited and lived in many of these complexes. I can reassure you that there are none that give you the comfort of an actual home for the low price that Campus Club offers. Not only is there maintenance team efficient and kind people, but there staff is excellent and caring. The apartment complex is kept neat and garbage collected in a timely fashion. There is no need to believe me about the hype, just come in and check out there apartments yourself and give it a try.

Word of advice for future students, please read Google reviews and take them into consideration. I can tell you first hand that it's very accurate. A lot of students are looking for cheap places, but do not be deceived by the prices. I would rather pay more for a better experience hands down any day. The bug problems are one thing because several apartments around Gainesville--in my experience--but it's mainly the management that is the problem. From what I am told they have some of the same people who managed Cabana Beach in Gainesville and it all made sense why I had the same treatment/similar problems. The management team is extremely rude and lackluster in their handling of problems. Overage charge after overcharge and it's so frustrating that they never have a real explanation whenever I call. We have seen bugs in our apartment numerous times and it seems like it never changes. I have seen some the employees hanging out in other resident's apartments smoking and stuff during the day; don't get me wrong, that's not the issue, but when I call needing something fixed and they are lounging around is just sloppy. I have heard some racists remarks from some of the higher-ups when talking about other resident's and favoritism is apparent; I think one of them is named Annie (?) in the office who I and my roommates have heard and the district manger or whatever he is; being from a Spanish heritage I don't take kindly to that and I think in such a diverse college town like Gainesville, there's no room for those insensitive, unnecessary remarks. I am living there now and I cannot wait for my lease to be up!!! Parents/students....please read the Google reviews because I wish I had.

I warn you! Don't get fooled by the model. The maintenance team here is not good at all. My room's carpets were dirty and the furniture is nothing like the model they showed me. If you get the first floor private rooms the AC's noise (out side your bed rooms window) will not let you sleep. There are many other places that cost just a little bit more but are a lot homier.

Honestly, super affordable and easy to commute to-and-from by bus. If you pick your roommates wisely, you shouldn't have much trouble living here aside from trying to get stuff done by maintenance. Lately, though, maintenance has been doing better. For a fully furnished apartments + utilities, this place is great.
