I no longer live in these apartments because mine CAUGHT FIRE due to an issue with faulty electrical wires in the attic, which, lucky me, happened to be right above my bathroom. Lucky for me, this got me out of my lease. Unlucky for me, I signed a lease with them in the first place (aka do NOT make the same mistake I did, unless you have a death wish). Here are the issues I had with CityScape in the 4 months I was unfortunate enough to have lived there (and I'll start with the minor infractions): 1. Lost credit card information on multiple occasions. 2. Charged late fees for rent after credit card information was lost (I was signed up for automatic withdrawals). 3. Moved into an apartment that was INFESTED WITH ROACHES in July. For the first few weeks I could not stay in the unit due to the extreme amount of roaches in it. I was told that the exterminator handled it and moved back in; I was also told that it would be cleaned (it wasn't). I still encountered approximately 5 roaches per week to this day, and I only stayed in the unit approximately 2 days per week, sometimes fewer (I travel for work). I asked multiple times and was told that I would be signed up on the list to receive weekly sprayings by the exterminator, but that apparently never happened. On multiple occasions I called in to remind them to spray my apartment and still the exterminator did not come in every week. I called in and asked for a "bug bomb" which I was given by Jamie -the apartment manager- and made to set off myself in the unit when the roach infestation was first discovered. I was denied a second bug bomb. I asked for rent concessions due to these ongoing issues - and asked for a supervisors contact info - and did not receive until my apartment caught fire, (go figure). 4. FIRE and damaged property due to faulty wiring in the attic above my unit. 5. Lack of communication following all issues, but in particular, the 32+ (yes THIRTY TWO) hours that went by after the fire because Jamie "was given the wrong number". (I stood there with another office worker while he was on the phone with her and gave him my number. I also left multiple-I believe 4 or 5-voicemails both at the leasing office and on the emergency maintenance line-and spoke with the maintenance worker who said he would have Jamie call me as well). I never heard from her. I had to continue to call the office and finally, at approximately 11am Monday (almost 2 full days after the fire) I was able to get in touch with Jamie when I called and she answered the phone in her office (and then told me she was out of the office until Wednesday-maybe she has call forwarding-but it surely seemed to me as though she was trying to avoid both myself as well as the other tenant with fire damage, and the situation entirely). It's now been over 1 month since the fire and though I was put in touch with the corporate office of Greystone Communities and promised a refund, I still have not received it, and it's been 10 days and 5 unreturned emails later that prompted me to write this review.

DO NOT EVER LIVE HERE! Chris the leasing agent is extremely incompetent. I have never had worse customer service, and that's truly saying something. He will hang up on you anytime you call with an issue. I have lived here over a month and they still haven't given me a mail key. A FREAKING MAIL KEY. How hard is that? I lease apartments myself, and in my career I have never treated any resident with as much disrespect as these people. It's a nightmare!

For the money, this is the absolute best you can do. I shopped the village and even more expensive places weren't as nice inside. PLUS - the insulation is AMAZING - the money saved on electricity is phenomenal. I know people who live in smaller apartments paying 3x as much each month nearby. The appliances are fantastic - I never thought I could love a dishwasher so much. Here's the thing though - it's still an apartment. I lived in a studio for a while and when I got a new neighbor, I got bugs. it sucked. When I moved to a 1 bedroom, I prepped with traps and boric acid and stuff and I haven't seen anything. The office people are super nice, if a little scattered. Still, for the amazing price (seriously: no utility charge, low deposit etc.) it's way way way more than worth it.

I love this complex! I definitely understand that the area where is located is not the best, but you are never 100% safe anywhere and for what you pay here and what they have to offer, is MUCH better than any other places that I have lived. Plus my #1 pet peeve is resolved (tribes of unsupervised children running outside). Shout out to Araceli and the maintenance crew for fixing the few details on my apartment upon moving in. I love my small yard for my dogs to play. My electricity bill has gone down about 40% and I love the stone floors. I heard they got rid of the "trouble manager" so I should expect things to get better. Very pet friendly and they gladly accepted my pitbull :), I gotta say that I feel pretty satisfied.

Love my studio apartment! Couldn't have asked for a better place to reside too many pluses to let one or two minuses steer me another direction! I'm glad they take CC as rental payments without hiking the fees for the transaction, with this I can stack points and live well since I caught my unit on a reduced rate special! I'm in love! Rumor has it they may be purchasing the apartments next door and completely refurbishing them to match ours which will definitely clean up the street even more.
