Overall very spacious apartment (closets are huge, laundry room is big). Clubhouse is nice with free beer on tap (only till 6 PM). Gym is OKAY, kind of small but it's workable. Building was poorly built/manufactured. Since moving in we have had the maintenance guy over about 6 times (only been here 4 months). We had a big issue with our humidity in the apartment even in the dead of winter (apparently the windows were not sealed correctly-letting in A LOT of moisture, which in turn caused mold to grow on our window sills). You can hear just about everything going on above you (we can hear toilets flushing above us, drawers opening and closing, people coughing, and not to mention people having sex). Last but not least the electricity in this complex is OUTRAGEOUS-it is usually $100 or more a month and we cant even shop around for a better deal. Would not recommend living here.
This is the worst apartment complex I have lived at in my life, and have been renting 10 years! The place looks nice but do not be fooled, these units are terribly constructed and you can hear you neighbors every movement. The management staff is utterly useless, there is so much turnover in the office no one knows what is going on. The utility bills are exorbitant and they try to charge people ridiculous fees upon moving out that are completely unfounded. The community takes no safety precautions and anyone can get into the unlocked pool area and the backdoor of the clubhouse is always unlocked. Please save yourself the pain and trouble of living in this horrendous community and rent elsewhere!
Loud noisy neighbors managment wont do anything about loud noisy neighbors they basically said we can t victim because they're loud noisy neighbors so what are they do they let more loud noisy people move in and a 2 a.m. in the morning they let people jump up and down the stairs moving in and out something very suspicious about people moving in at 2 a.m. in the morning making a lot of noise
When picking out an apartment you look at the aesthetics and the amenities. When walking into Clifton Park you are blown away by the updated kitchen, spacious rooms, and of course the pool. You sign a lease because you think this is like a real home and most of the time they offer you a gift card (which you think this will help me update some furniture). On your moving day you’re excited to move in and enjoy your new place. I promise these feelings will be short lived. From the time I unpacked my things I was ready to leave. You can hear everything in your apartment (you can hear your neighbor in the bathroom while you are in the living room, conversations, and alarms). You shouldn’t be hearing everything around you when you pay a thousand dollars rent. Forget the free beer the keg is always tapped. The pool looks great but it is freezing and you will never want to get in unless it 100 degrees outside. When you get your first electric bill it may come as a shock to you. The most I had paid before was 100 dollars in electric in the winter. Here my first bill was $250 (that’s because Living Preferred owns the electric company, 40 dollars of your bill are just fee’s) In all other apartments I have ever lived at I only had the normal bugs like spiders. Here I had German roaches. It’s not a fun feeling having to always look around for them. The staff was not willing to work with me at all about the roaches. I asked if I could get some money off my bill and the manager said, “This is apartment living for you” even though they told me I had one of the cleanest apartments they had seen and that the roaches most likely were coming from someone else. That is so unacceptable. I ended up breaking my lease and was very happy to be rid of this horrible experience. For anyone looking at Clifton Park…run away and don’t look back.
A terrible place to live! We will be out of here as soon as our lease it up and believe me, we cannot wait for that time. The music plays outside of the clubhouse from morning to beyond the office hours at a level that you can hear and feel it inside your own space. You seriously can't hear your own music over the rap at the clubhouse. Many complaints about it have been totally ignored. For "luxury" apartments, these were cheaply thrown together. Windows are horrible for winter, utilities are terrible and they are not built to keep the noise of the other apartment out, at all. We can here the people upstairs turning in their beds at night and a lot of other things we do not want to hear! When the toilet is flushed above us, it sounds as if the water from the flush is coming through the ceiling because it is so loud. It really is too bad, the apartment has a classy look and a nice layout but I could never recommend it to anyone. Don't be enticed by the nice pool--it is not worth it!
