Choosing the apartment complex was a no-brainer for me, simply because of the cost-for-space efficiency (I'm in a 1bed/1bath), which was no less than $200 cheaper than anywhere else I looked (at least 7-8 places...and it's bigger) (and

I have lived in various apartments in Redmond over the past 10 years, however one rental place that I can really call HOME is "The Colony at Bear Creek". We have been here for about 4 years now and moving out now to our OWN new HOME. If not for that, I think I would have continued here for next 5 years!!! So what really stand "The Colony at Bear Creek" out compared to other rental properties. Location: Centrally located in Redmond and next to everything that matter whether Office, Schools, Parks, Downtown, Shopping, Theaters .... You can say, Well there are other communities near by that too offer the same. Apartments: Very spacious, full of Sun light and simple layout to maximize space utilization .... You can say, Well there are other communities that too offer the same. Community: Very green, well maintained, nice play areas, sports court, GYM, Cabana, Swimming pools, SPA.... You can say, Well there are other communities that too offer the same. Staff and Service: Gem of a staff, every one is a ROCK STAR when it comes to customer service, they treat you like FAMILY, always courteous, smiling, polite, respectful, personal. Monika and Fack are my personal favorite. They feel like part of extended family. So while we are super excited and happy to move into our own home, part of me is sad and will miss them and our small chats whenever I visited the office. NOW this is ONE area, where You can NOT say that other communities offer the same. Because no one.... NO ONE is as awesome as people and staff of "The Colony at Bear Creek" Thank you Guys for this wonderful association and while we are heading out. We will recommend this place of everyone who plans to stay in Redmond area and will drop by time to time to just say Hello :) Cheers Nitesh and Jyoti

Flea infested. More fleas jump on me when I go outside than when I am inside. And I have a cat, who has had a horrible flea problem since we moved in here. I've tried bombing the place and I've put frontline and countless other spot on treatments on him every month since we've moved in here and I give up.I am constantly vacuuming. He still has fleas. Who ever thought of putting carpet in a pet friendly apartment complex is an idiot. To top it off in your lease it says if there are fleas present in the carpet when you move out they charge you a fee. But the place is already infested when you move in. If you have pets look elsewhere. Also our water heater broke and it took them until our neighbor complained about THIER apartment flooding to fix it. Our apartment was flooding for weeks. They said it was water leaking from the shower when we showered. Then when the neighbors complained they realized it was something bigger. Duh. Why would our bathroom flood from us taking a shower and then stay there all day while we are at work without drying up at all? Our bedroom and living room carpet were soaked with water and their solution was to put a dehumidifier in here for about a week. They didn't replace the carpet. There is mold growing in my bedroom closet that shares a wall with the closet of the water heater. Somedays I come home from work and it reeks like mold. I would complain to them, but frankly, I'm tired. They don't do anything. And the rent is ridiculously high for such a crappy place. I pay $200 dollars more a month here for a tiny 1 bedroom than I did for my ample-sized 2 bedroom in Everett. Not worth it. I know they're making a killing every month from all the disappointed people who are stuck living here. Save your time. Save your money. Save your pet, if you have one. Save yourself the stress. Rent elsewhere.
