I have lived here for about a month and already have had enough from it. The neighbors here are nice, the environment here is okay, but the buildings and management team are really the worst I have seen in the 6 states I have used to reside in 10 years. I can say college dormitories can even be better than this apartment. The 2 bedroom apartment I am currently renting has water leaks from ac, dryer is disconnected, toilets bows are leaking water, 2 of the 4 doors in the apartment aren't closable, some carpets are wet because of water leakage underneath them. Management team isn't helping not only because they have papers to read and gossips to chat; they also have no time to take care of a 20 years old apartment. They refuse all their faults and mistakes because they don't want to make changes in order to keep their job positions. The community is very dark at night and you won't be able to see the premise entrance to save electricity costs. Overall, beautiful views next to a construction yard, Pet Park with pet feces everywhere, and flies from everywhere will amaze you until you have moved out. Enjoy!!

I received my apartment on the first of September, 2014, however I didn’t receive it in a good condition. The toilet handle (flush), is broken, window screen, and door screen are broken, also the fire-place, oven-light, and balcony light do not work. I made an online-request and I wait 5-days for the maintenance to come to fix the broken things but the request status was still in process, therefore, I went to the office. I told the girl who works there about the broken things and she told me that is not an emergency and I should wait. I was disappointed (How long should I wait for them to fix my bathroom? A year or two??) Then, I called the manager and I asked him to send someone to fix the broken things. He told me he will send someone tomorrow (Friday), but I had a party on Friday, so he sent the maintenance guy, and he only fixed the toilet handle and told me that he will com tomorrow to fix the other things. Today is 15 of September, 2014 and nobody come to fix my apartment. Also, all of the street lamps on the community are working but not the one in the front of my apartment 4401 hemmingway drive. I think they gave me the worse apartment on the community. It is like I’m bagging them.

Stayed 2 years. Staff was quite nice and maintenance was quite responsive. Prices increase like mad every year so don't expect your good deal to last. Charged outrageous fees when we moved out such as replacing all carpet for normal use. Don't believe them if they say you can make improvements as we were charged to replace our brand new faucet we installed simply because it wasn't the same ugly cheap one that everyone else had. They even sent us to collections for the amount after they said they'd get back to us on adjustments! It was good while we were there though. Nice facilities, good layout, nice parties and amenities. Only had our vehicles broken into twice and woken up in the middle of the night once by drunk people screaming bloody murder. Not tooo bad in 2 years :-).

We have lived at Drakes Pond for two years, now. There may be small things that may irritate us at times such as neighbors' doors shutting way too loud or recurrent plumbing problems. But these are all very minor compared to the good of living here. Any maintenance requests are speedily answered. Most people in the leasing office are wonderful. Chandra is amazingly friendly and helpful. Drakes Pond is clean, safe, and maintained very, very well. Yes, you pay more. But you also don't hear loud, ignorant music or fighting or parties anywhere in the entire complex. You can also eat breakfast FOR FREE every morning. Now, what other apartment complex does that? Also there are wonderful parties given for residents. Gifts, eats, lots of wonderful things for the residents at these parties. Also Marquette Management, the main corporation, always asks you for personal and private input. I cannot believe that anyone would say any bad thing about Drakes Pond Apartments. Just ask the thousand current residents how they feel. You will get an honest answer about this wonderful place!!!!!!!!!!!!!
