The apartments are beautiful and spacious. It is a bit pricey but when you split the cost with roommates it's not bad at all. It is a very quiet environment and peaceful. Other people have complained about the noise but I think it depends on the building you are in. Ours is fairly quiet. And if you are worried about it, I would just get an apartment on the top floor like us to prevent getting stuck below a family. The office staff has always been super friendly and helpful to us, and the maintenance staff is quick to fix things. And best of all, animals are allowed. Not many apartment complexes around here, especially nice ones, allow animals. And it's not far from the colleges in the area. We commute to RIT and its about a 10 minute drive. Best place I've ever lived at. We plan on staying here for a while! :)

Sold our home after all the kids moved away and love it! So peaceful and quiet. Our neighbors are wonderful and the staff organizes a lot of activities at the community center, esp. for seniors. We looked a long time to find something that didn't feel like a 'complex' and this was the only one that looks and feels like a real neighborhood!

Great apartments with nice kitchens. Office staff is very responsive to requests/concerns and will mediate any disputes that may arise between neighbors. Best snow removal and grounds-keeping of any apartment I've lived in-- I often had to leave before 6am and the roads/parking lots were already cleared. I think noise level depends on the building-- some buildings are mainly college students while other buildings have more families. Pool and gym are a nice perk. I give ESV a 4/5 stars due to some noise problems. Insulation in the walls between apartments in pretty good, but floor/ceiling insulation is poor, allowing noise from above/below.

-Walls are paper thin, can hear everything -Mostly college students so the place is noisy at all hours of the day and night -You can hear every footstep of the people in the apartment above you -There is no such thing as parking and they refuse to do anything about it. I have complained countless times about not being able to find a parking spot and they had the nerve to threaten to tow me! -Maintenance is absolutely useless. My laundry room door fell on me and maintenance came over, looked at it, left without saying a word and now they won't come back for any of my calls. Same thing with the dishwasher that doesn't work! -Carpets just fall apart with regular vacuuming. It's not like I'm using a dyson or anything, it's absolutely ridiculous! Oh and maintenance won't fix it either they just tell you to cut off the fraying. It's been fraying since the day I moved in! -No respect. I pay an extra $25/month to have a unit with a porch on it and the neighbors have the nerve to walk across it whenever they damn feel like it! -Shoddy construction. I have been here for 2 years and am leaving as soon as my lease is up because aside from the laundry room door FALLING on me, our front door isn't even hung right so all of our heat escapes from the gaps around the edges. -Bottom floor apartment is always freezing and closing off certain vents won't do you any good. Maintenance won't do anything about it except turn your heat up. -Bottom line: take your money elsewhere. For what they're charging, you could probably buy a house cheaper!
