Thank you Hawthorne Riverside Apartment Homes Grand Cypress Hidden Gem!!! My family had the best 2 years of our entire apartment history ever, here with the wonderful community and staff. Everything was more enjoyable than expected and we hope to be back if at all possible. Please, please, please lease here and relax with the beautiful nature and professional care everyone deserves. : ) The O.K. Family!!!

Obviously, the apartments facing the river have an amazing view. That is the main pro of living here granted you get one on the river. But I am going to go into the cons of living here now. If you want to sleep in, FORGET ABOUT IT. There are either leafblowers, yard cutters, branch cutters, carpet cleaners, etc etc doing their work EARLY in the morning, starting at around 8AM.. I was just trying to sleep and got woken up for the umpteenth time time since living here. Seriously Hawthorne? How inconsiderate and rude. I have contacted management about this and urged them to do their landscaping and upkeep later in the day at a more appropriate hour maybe at noon or after, but I guess they didn't take me seriously. I understand that appearances are important and I appreciate their hardwork to keep this place in tiptop shape but My God! Can't you do this later in the day??!?!?!? Also, since a new company took over changing the beautiful name of Grand Cypress to the ugly name Hawthorne Riverside, there have been all kinds of construction going on on the once beautiful untainted riverside. There are tractors and holes being dug all over the place. It looks like a construction zone now. Its too bad that they are adding all these things, like an ugly eyesore of a white stone circular firepit. You'd think they would have chosen a more natural color for the pit that would blend in with the surroudings, but no. If it aint broke, don't fix it Hawthorne. The view was beautiful all natural without these added things like exercise equipment and now it looks like they are going to be adding lamps. Once again, making a beautiful nature scene more manmade looking. They are probably doing it for safety reasons..I don't know, but I don't like it. You have to understand that the upkeep for the riverside is going to be a huge deal, so every few Fridays they will be mowing the HUGE lawn which takes FOREVER and is sooo loud and they go back and forth longways instead of doing one section at a time so that they don't keep annoying people. Once again, they will be doing this in the mornings! Ok, now another con of living here, the air conditioners don't work so good in the summer and the heaters don't work so good in the winter. Also, you can smell your neighbors smells quite easily. Obviously I live near a smoker. It comes in through the walls. UGH!!!! The leafblowers have come back again even though they were already here 10 minutes ago. I don't understand why they don't get it all done at one time and have to keep coming back!!!!! THANKS FOR RUINING MY SLEEP TIME AND TIME AGAIN!!!! Oh yes, another con. The floors are extremely creaky. I basically tiptoe around not wanting to bother my neighbors downstairs. The floors feel so thin and old. Anyway, if any of the above things don't bother you then I can recommend this place.

Hawthorne Riverside has a lovely staff!

Two notes have been posted on my motorcycle, one on the paint, one on the windshield. Nothing was done. Today, I received a "lease" violation for an unauthorized occupant, and my dog being on my deck "all day". I was also accosted by an angry old man in the parking lot telling me that my motorcycle hasn't moved in 3 weeks. I've lived here a month, and have yet to receive a copy of my lease, any type of community regulations, have requested repairs twice, still nothing. Beautiful apartments run like an anal RV park.

I enjoyed many things about living at GCA, however, dealing with the management of this complex is really awful. Upon moving, they stuck me with two months of utility bills after I had moved out. Her dealings with tenants are really unprofessional and show a complete lack of customer service.
