I moved into The Greenbriar in May and love the location since I am in walking distance to my school in the med center. I would definitely recommend living here for a number of reasons. The staff are amazing, I have never met an office staff that greets all of their residents by their name! They are very professional and extremely friendly and accommodating. They are very approachable whenever I need something and if there is ever an issue they take care of it as soon as possible. Out of all the apartments I have lived in, I have never met more friendly management. They are very organized, helpful, and definitely go out of their way to make it a better place for all of their residents. As a student, I use the office/lobby space they provide for the residents as a study area and it is always very clean with a variety of coffee and tea options. I use the gym almost every day and love that it is accessible 24/7, it has quite a lot of equipment and machines and never is too crowded. I like that they stock water and towels for us to use! I live in a 2/2 and find it very spacious. The bedrooms are a good size and the closets are huge! If maintenance is ever needed to fix things in our apartment they are usually good about taking care of it right away. For the amount of apartments in the complex I would say maintenance is pretty efficient. Parking is never an issue since they have quite a spacious parking garage and my roommate and I feel pretty safe since the complex is gated.

Lived here for 2 years and I would not recommend. The Management realizes that they dont have to do anything towards customer service or maintenance. The proximity of the apartments to the med center sell the units and they realize this. Over the course of the 2 years, there were repeated closures of the workout facilities and the pool. The City of Houston had shut the pool down due to safety concerns last summer. I hope to be able to move soon. DO not recommend.

I lived at this apartments complex for 3 years. The only reason that I stayed around that long would be its close proximity to the medical center. Otherwise, I would have left much sooner. The largest source of frustration at this complex is the management. They put on a pretty face and act like they care, but problems are slow to get resolved and policies are deceptive and anything but resident friendly. The property is managed by Rockwell Management. They tend to shuffle the office staff around continuously (I've heard between the various complexes that they manage). In the 3 years that I lived there, there were countless numbers of office members. The story was always the same, however. No one in the office ever really knew how to answer more complex questions and I was always referred to the manager who was at the office one day a week or less and otherwise unreachable. The maintenance staff was always very friendly, but problems were slow to get fixed and generally the fix was a temporary band-aid and not a true solution. Our A/C was continually problematic and when it completely broke it took going into the office every single day for almost 2 weeks before they would replace the compressor--I was told throughout this time that "its hot outside and you probably have the thermostat to low"--No, 76 degress is not "too low." Also in my 3 years...midway through the lease cable (included at the terms of the contract) was dropped as an included service. At one point the complex decided to change how they billed for water and our rates tripled overnight. Under no circumstances would I live at this apartment complex again, unless I simply had no other option for convenience to the medical center.

The front office is AMAZING! They knew my name... greeting me regularly... and always kept me up-to-date with changes to the complex. The only negative thing I experienced was that parking filled up quickly... but the garage always had space, it just might be a bit of a walk. Overall... a very pleasant experience.

The leasing office is not very responsive and sometimes rude. Also, be sure you fully understand the lease before you sign. I only lived here for one year, and after the lease was up, they piled on various extra charges that they had not explicitly mentioned before. While they had never been explicitly dishonest, they did knowingly allow you to make assumptions which they knew were false. Speaking to some of my neighbors in the complex, it seemed like this was a common occurrence.
