This complex is over priced, will cost you hundreds more every month in addition to the rent & not worth the money. The complex is 1.5 miles from Antioch & not near Brentwood. The complex right next to the east is section 8 housing. The complex has an agreement with the federal government to accept refugees from Somalia, Burma & other african countries. The residents BBQ chickens in front of their apts with all of the feathers, head & feet. If you like an international flavor, you will get it when there are Somali women covered head to toe in colorful robes standing on the street at the entrance to the complex when you come home. Drive 3 miles east & get a nice apt for 40% less. The management will brag that the complex is newer than all of the other complexes. They may be newer but the buildings were cheaply built with little insulation between apartments & the outside world. Expect high electric bills to heat & cool. One month my electric bill was $315.00. It's like having an extra car payment. The cabinets are worn out, the sink fixtures are ancient & cheap, the carpet is cheap & never been replaced & expect cold & hot air to blow in & roll in off the windows. You will be able to hear your neighbors, walking & talking. I called the man in the apt above me The Elephant Man because it sounded like that. The tenant before him played wii & the floor squeaked the whole time they were exercising. I recorded it on my phone. The parking is problematic, don't come home until 8:00pm & you'll be parking 2 buildings away. The gates are chronically broken, so much for a gated community. When you move out be sure to have a cleaning crew come in, you will be charged for every minor thing they don't consider clean enough. If a countertop isn't clean, they charge you $5.00. They don't give you a move out sheet when you sign your lease, they'll just try to make $$$ off you when you move out. Moving out could cost you a few hundred if you're not careful. The management is arrogant & will try to add extra charges in violation of your lease agreement if you don't watch carefully. I had to consult my lawyer when they decided to double my water bill because they changed their policy. Within the last year they were raising the rent of any current resident that isn't paying what they have decided the going rent should be. I moved recently because they decided to raise my rent $235/mo & attempted to charge me more than the monthly rent that was listed on the website. Be diligent when ordering packages, in 6 wks I received 3 notices of package deliveries & they lost all of them. No over site in who takes what package. Absolutely cannot recommend this complex. It will cost you a bundle & you won't be in a nice neighborhood in Brentwood.

I have lived here for almost 2 yrs and I can not say enough good things about this place..The Management is Awesome very responsive to any questions or concerns I have ever had Shay and Sarah are AWESOME!!... I have never been in a more peaceful setting although everything you need is within a couple of Blocks either way of the complex it is very quiet and serene. We love to sit on the Balcony and watch the sun Set over the Hills of Brentwood or just listen to the fountains in the back yard pond. We absolutely Love this place very clean and very quiet...No Better Place to be in the MUSIC CITY ...after reading the reviews below I wonder if I am getting special treatment or I am being honest because I do not mind putting my name on here Marlon "Milo" Davis

I know that this place looks nice and decent, but the Staff are way too arrogant. In the area of safety, you would think its a safe community because its gated, but I've seen the gates being open day and night for more than a month.

My husband and I have lived at Hickory Point for 2 years. I'll start with the good: We love the location (about 15 minutes from downtown and 15 minutes from Cool Springs/Franklin area). Nippers corner area is a great place to be. We have never had any real issues with the management staff, they have been very friendly and all maintenance issues have been taken care of quickly. Also, I LOVE the layout of the apartments which is great for having guests (they get their own closed off bathroom suite!). Also, Hickory Point provides a washer/dryer in unit for NO additional cost. Now the not-so-good: My largest complaint by far is the outrageously high electric bills during the winter months. We have a 2 bedroom, 1000sq ft apartment and our bill from Nov-Mar were OVER $200 each month and we keep it FREEZING (at 68 degrees or less). There is TERRIBLE insulation at this complex. Please, please please call NES about your specific apartment electric bill history before renting to confirm my allegations. The summer months are not bad at all - our bill typically runs from $70-$90 and that is keeping the place at a cool 72 degrees. Second biggest complaint: The fitness room. The TVs in the fitness center NEVER work. They keep telling everyone that the TVs will be fixed but to no avail. Also, half the time the treadmills don't work either. Last year, the pool was always dirty with bugs in it but I have not been back to it yet this summer. Third complaint: The apartment walls are very thin. You can hear the people above, below, and next to you as clear as day. We have had children running above our apartment the entire 2 years and have complained multiple times. Most recently, someone moved into the garage below us and has turned it into a workout room where they blare music all night which literally makes things in our bathroom shake. We have called to complain about this 3 separate times. It has gotten slightly better. Overall, I can tell the management is working hard to improve the facility. They added picnic tables and grill stations this summer which is a nice touch. They have also worked hard to make sure all dogs are on leashes and that each tenant picks up after their animal. Parking is not really an issue - almost always find a spot directly outside of my building.

The staff is terrible, they do not care about their renters. After my lease was terminated, I had spoken to the office staff about month to month renting. They had told me it was fine, they would inform me in advance if someone was interested in the apartment, and that I would have first dibs. After cashing my check for the entire month, they called me mid month and told me to vacate by the end of the week. They have no consideration and no respect for people. Do not rent from here!
