Just avoid this place at all cost. Speaking of cost... The prices are about $200-$500 too much per unit(depending on the unit style), especially since this place is branded as "luxury" apartments. I paid $825 at Hyde Park Greens, which was much quieter and much more responsive and friendly management. At Hudson Harbor, a unit with the same number of bedrooms (2) cost nearly twice that much. What's the difference you might ask? A washer and Dryer plus a dishwasher. Hudson Harbor does have a lovely gym, which you are forced to pay for, and I couldn't be more sarcastic about "lovely." The management cares about your problems, unless it forces them to do some actual work to help resolve your situation. It took almost a year of phone calls to get dog waste bags installed, only two in the entire complex, and you have to call them to re-fill when they get empty. It also took another two months to get them to install a waste can with the bags. Before that, residents had to bring dog waste in their homes to dispose of it, or walk all the way to the dumpster near the leasing office. If you can haggle a few hundred dollars off your rent, then maybe consider moving in to Hudson Harbor. Or just be smart and skip over this place all together and spend your money where it's worthwhile.

DO NOT RENT HERE! When I searched for apartments in Poughkeepsie to be closer to work I decided upon Hudson Harbour because the model apartment was beautiful and the leasing consultant that I met with, Joyce, was one of the sweetest, genuinely caring and helpful individuals that I had ever had the pleasure of working with. However, unfortunately the only caring leasing consultant here is Joyce whom only works on the weekends, which I found out after I had already signed my lease. From the moment I signed my lease until now this place has been a living hell. They complex shows you a model apartment of the 'Elm' (one bedroom "luxury" apartment unit), but when you sign your lease for the Elm apartment don't expect it to look ANYTHING like the model and the leasing consultants won't tell you that the apartment you are renting will look any different they will just wait until your move in day when you walk into the unit to find something that looks like it came straight from the ghetto of Poughkeepsie. Then when you complain about the fact that the unit assigned to you looks nothing like the model shown they accept no blame and make you pay a higher monthly rent cost if you want to switch to a unit that actually resembles the model. MISLEADING. But that's not even the worst part. The worst part of this hell hole Hudson Harbour is the service by the leasing office. Every single time a maintenance issue has arisen in my unit the staff gives you attitude about it acting like it is your fault that one of the issue has occurred even though it has nothing to do with you. For example, I pay an additional $50.00 per month for the washer and dryer that are included in my apartment unit, however both the washer and dryer are broken and the staff refuses to properly fix or replace them. The washer can only run properly when it is only filled 1/3 of the way with clothes (with a tiny load containing about 2 small towels or 2 t-shirts and 1 pair of pants). If you try to fill it any more than that it does not drain and your clothes come out filled with soap and literally dripping wet as there is usually 3 inches of water left in the washer at the end of the cycle. The dryer is the worst part though because you can't even use that! The dryer turns off every time it is turned on with a wet or even slightly damp load of laundry inside (it turns off on its own every single time about 1-5 minutes after being turned on). When maintenance looked at the dryer I was told that the reason it is malfunctioning was because I needed to clean out both lint filters before every single load of laundry entered the dryer to be dried. One of the two lint filters is this big thing that you have to pull out of the dryer and rinse out in the tub for about 10 minutes at a time so this is a very time consuming and tedious task but I figured as long as it fixed the problem I was happy to do it. Well it did not fix the problem and when I called the leasing office manager basically told me that the maintenance staff said I was lying about cleaning out the lint filters and that I have to clean them out better in addition to also running an EMPTY dryer before each load of laundry. What!? This means I have to use extra unnecessary electricity to run an empty dryer because it is not working properly. Just ridiculous. You have to argue and argue with the incompetent leasing office staff to get maintenance done in your apartment you are better off renting from a complex that actually does it's job. The only upside to this place is Joyce who is always wonderful.

Lived there for a year and a half for school in New Paltz. Safe, clean apartments in a good location. The rent was a little pricey but I think it's a good balance between the amenities offered and the location. Management was friendly and they always got back to us within a reasonable amount of time and fixed things promptly. I had a very good experience here.

We recently moved to Poughkeepsie for work and briefly considered Hudson Harbor. When we called on the telephone to see if they had a "Spruce Loft" available we were told that they did have one unit. It was simply a ploy to get us in the leasing office. When we arrived we were told that the apartment was not available AND if it were available it would be $1300/month not the $899/month advertised on the web site. STAY AWAY from these CONS that use BAIT AND SWITCH tactics to get you in the door and then refuse to honor their advertised prices. These people are a bunch of crooks.

This is the worst apartment I have ever rented. They robbed me in the name of fees and bla bla. The manager was very rude when I spoke with her regarding the same. Please do not rent these apartments if you want to stay peacefully.
