Place in nice, a lot of shade and well groomed. Dogs are welcomed and dog poop bags are available at numerous stations, Staff is great. Last summer our AC malfunctioned @ 3 AM, I email office just in case if anybody was up, and guess what service guy was at my door @3:15 AM, by 4 AM AC was fixed. So highly recommend.

My friend and I recently moved down to the Orlando area to teach. We were worried that we wouldn't find a good fit in an apartment complex. Newport Colony came highly recommended by many of our colleagues, and as soon as we walked into the leasing office we knew this was where we wanted to live. It's the little things that matter. The place was well kept, clean, and the office staff was very friendly. We received a prompt greeting when we walked in and immediately felt at home. Justin made our transition from college life as easy as possible without making us feel incompetent. I love the people. I love the price. I love the atmosphere. I highly recommend living here.

The apartment was very nice for the price; the neighborhood was beautiful, pleasant and quiet. My neighbors were always friendly and the maintenance staff was always helpful however, the office staff is HORRIBLE!!!! I should have known what I was dealing with when I was being shown the apartments before moving in the male leasing agent who lived in the complex as well said he "hated living there because he felt obligated to have to say 'hello' to the tenants" he then went on to tell my boyfriend and I that he "couldn't wait to move". He was very rude/grumpy and would cut you off whenever you tried to speak he is also very condescending and not very friendly at all. They also try to "pretend" they like you but the minute you say you are leaving they treat you like crap! My last day at the property they changed the locks before I could even get the rest of my things out! THE OFFICE STAFF SUCKS! Beware!

IMT Newport Colony has the most awesome and friendly people working in there office. Today Jessica and Nick took very good care of us as we signed are new lease; so I THANK them for that!

The Bad: The lower level of our 2-story townhouse smells like smoke in the bedroom and the closet underneath the stairs because our direct downstairs neighbor smokes indoors. The management is going to try to clean the ducts, but the areas where the smell is the worst don't have a/c vents (the closets) and we're skeptical if it's going to make a difference. We'll see. The downstairs bedroom was going to be our baby nursery (baby's due 10/3/2014), but now we don't want to put the baby or his stuff around smoke smell. We talked to management about transferring to another townhouse, but they're not following up with us to our satisfaction and, to be honest, we feel like they're giving us the runaround. I hope that isn't the case :-/ I'll report back. The Good: Nice apartment. Layout is nice. It's quiet; can't hear neighbors too much. Nice grounds for walking a dog. Lots of shade and trees. Nice fresh grass. Dog bag/trash stations are placed throughout. Pools, tennis court, & car washing station are/is nice. Maintenance crew is good at fixing problems.
