Keystone Apartments needs to be shut down. The apartments are old and poorly maintained. There are constantly things breaking. There is no parking anywhere unless you pay for it. I have had to walk 1/4 of a mile to my apartment in the dark because there are only paid covered parking spots near my apartment. They just want to make money from parking. And on top of that, the manager and the staff are totally unprofessional and rude. Do not sign a lease here. The location is great, but it's not worth the stress and aggravation. Worst apartment I have lived in.

I'm really disappointed in this residence, only the people who live around here are nice. There is no light in our building for months, the pool being so full of chlorine that you can wash the socks that are not used for months, the gym and the bathrooms need to be disinfected and cleaned by the special force of Clorox who wear a special suits anti-infection, and what about the garden? It is so full of pooh pooh dogs that you can fertilize the flowers of cactus around the world! and what about the water bill we received every months? We pay $ 50 a month without washing machine and dishwasher!!!This means to be a real robbery !!..... And This means that in 12 months we have to pay $ 600 ...... not even an Olympic swimming pool pays a price so high!!!! ... I think the owner of this place and the staff that worked there, thinking that the tenants here come from Mars or are riding a camel Tibetan. However , in this place there are many honest workers, and especially many soldiers who serve our country every day also for having a place to live Decently. We pay all the bills in time, and we deserve respect and honesty and in the end of the contract we going to find another place.

If there is lower than a 1 star, I would definitely give it to Keystone apt. @ Alamo Heights because they don't deserve a one star. I lived there from 09-12', and at the beginning, the managers, staffs, and the repairman were great. But gradually they hired uneducated, no common sense people especially the one which everyone hates particular; she is the short overweight or pregnant lady with the glasses. She also have a annoying voice as well. The whole staffs are so rude and have no brains. The only people I considered to be okay was the manager with her son currently in the Marines. You're paying for the location, and not the quality of the apartment. And if you ever need something fixed, that particular lady will either give you an attitude, or it's going to take them forever to come and fix your issues. Trust me, it's not worth it!

DO NOT LIVE HERE! I saw all of the reviews and ignored them because I figured only the people with bad experiences had an opinion. I've been living here for a month, and so far my experience has been hell. I should have known I was going to be screwed when I came into my apartment for the first time to move in and it wasn't ready for me. There was some sort of miscommunication in managment, and when I moved in the carpets were stained, there was hair all over the floors and counters, paint chipped in the bathtub, markings all over the walls, etc. It was clearly not ready to be moved into. I told them I needed it to be ready on that Sunday because it was the only time I had to move in since I work 8-5. Then they said they would have someone clean and paint it and have it ready the next day and they would call me when it was ready. No one called me or answered me the next day, but it was ready nonetheless. Then they tried to get me to pay for the 2 days that I wasn't moved in or living there because they had to clean and paint the apartment that they hadn't done when they were supposed to. There have been little things here and there that have made living in Keystone awful. When I first moved in, I tried to pay for my first month's rent through there online service, but my check was rejected because my bank thought it was fraud. So I paid their total late fee of $200 (since they didn't try and cash the check until several days after I wrote it) with no questions asked. I turned my money order in (because they requested a money order) and the lady at the desk said "Thank you, that's all we need." I find out yesterday (when my roommate when and tried to pay for our rent) that our account was on hold since my check was turned in late the previous month. They told my roommate she had to pay with cash or a money order, but it was a Sunday and the banks were closed and Monday (the 2nd) was a holiday. The front desk told her she would have to pay the late fee again if she didn't get it in on time. Now they are claiming that they told me that our account is now on hold for 6 months and we can only pay with money order, which I was never told. The communication amongst the management is terrible. No one knows what is going on. The apartments have old appliances. The only thing good about this apartment is the location since it is close to my gym, grocery store, and work. Although, I would rather live 30 minutes away then have to deal with all of their crap. If it's only been one month and it sucks this bad, I can't imagine what we are in for with the 15 month lease we signed. I would only recommend this apartment to people who are masochists.
