This review is for Vintage Pointe apartments in Rohnert Park, CA and overall I was very unsatisfied with their complex AND staff. Myself and three other young women were interested in one of the 3bd 2bth units at Vintage Pointe. We toured an upstairs model unit and were told that our unit would be identical except the floor plan could be flipped depending on which building. That was lie number one. It took three weeks for the on-site staff member Desiree to process our very routine applications, and she didn’t even notify us. We placed a $500 reservation deposit down to “hold a unit for us” until our intended move in date of June 1. I had to call her continuously for an update on our app. After we waited three weeks for a decision, it took her additional time to “assign” us a unit. We were finally handed a lease and shown the unit on the 14th of June. The unit was absolutely nothing like the one originally shown. While I understand that “model” units are staged and it is expected to have small differences, the differences were astronomical. The unit intended for us was located above a garage that was not insulated, and the garage below us was not even ours! Our garage was a few doors down, how strange… The unit had chunks taken out of countertops, cabinets that were water damaged and lacked finish, and exposed light fixtures and wiring near the water heater. All for $1750 a month?! The lease included a ton of random addendums to it, including one that noted service fees for utilities. If the tenant is responsible for all utilities, why would we pay fees to the complex? That item and many others were not disclosed to us when we asked about costs associated with the unit. The pool and spa have a $100 key deposit; the pools and spas at SSU are honestly way better and don’t cost a dime to use. Overall, the lease looked like it was compiled by a five year old and had errors in the table of costs on the front page. The leasing agent Desiree was unknowledgeable about the complex and backpedaled when asked about items listed in the lease. The rent for a 3bd 2 bth is actually $1825, they just give you a “discount” for using an electronic deposit to pay for it. Basically, the unit was unsafe, the lease was a mess, and the staff was an embarrassment. At the end of the showing of our intended unit, we were told that our “reservation” deposit was non-refundable if we decided that we didn’t want it. Know that this complex will try to scam you out of your money, I got my money back but only after I pushed real hard. Also, this complex does nothing about smoking and does not differentiate between non-smoking and smoking units, which is gross by itself, but it’s also a violation of Rohnert Park’s ordinances. I feel like the staff at this complex tried to dupe us out of our money because we were young and eager to find an apartment. Take your business elsewhere, or plan to drop tons of cash in ridiculous costs and talk to an idiot of a manager when you have an issue.

Noisy college students but decent place. A few repairs, but everything is taken care of. Assigned parking spots are nowhere near the apartment and the lot is always crowded. The gym is in poor shape, but the pool and hot tub are well maintained. One bedroom rent not bad. Apartment downstairs stays fairy cool in warm weather, and it doesnt take much to heat in winter....the fireplace is a good energy saver.

This place is a joke. We pay $1235 for a 2 bedroom apt have never been late on payment and yet have had a broken fridge that we had to fix ourselves, a broken dishwasher that leaks and has never been properly fixed (5 complaints filed) and our water bill during the spring; which is when we are never home, is over $200!!! The management or the lack there of I should say is non-existent and dismissive. Overall I hate this complex with a passion and would highly advise not living here.

Maybe a good place for SSU student, not so for anyone else. Parking spots routinely taken, drivers speed in parking lot, very few friendly residents, units are old, rent is high, top units are warm in winter and very hot in summer, no a/c, kitchen is archaic.
