What can I say about Living at LionsGate? If something is broken you call the office and in 24hrs someone is in your door to fix it. If you have any trouble whats so ever the office will always find the best way to help with a smile in their face. The place is beautiful, the neighbors are great and the location.... The locations is UNBELIEVABLE, you are close to EVERYTHING and in walking distance. LionsGate is the place to live!
MOLD MOLD MOLD!!!!! I would give them a negative star if I could. This place is disgusting and over priced. After moving in we noticed water pouring out of the front of the house. Turned out to be dirty sink water/dishwasher water pooling under the cabinets and in the wall. Shortly after moving in my 1 year old son my husband and myself are all now ill. My son who had never been sick is now having to take a nebulizer treatment 4 times a day. There is visible mold under the sink and they attempted to hide it with killz primer. The staff have tried to lie to us repeatedly saying all the water has dried up. It's in the wall and under the cabinets in a closed warm moist environment ... how could it have dried up without fixing it? We looked under the base board and tons of black mold. They are refusing to let us out of our lease despite the obvious health concerns. Horrible place horrible management. They don't give a damn about people just money. Do not rent here! Furthermore my husband did construction for years and it's obvious all their fixes are not to code. If all this were not enough they are very out dated and use shop cabinets in the kitchen. Run do not rent here!
This is the worst place I have ever lived in my life. I moved there last year hoping that I found a nice place to live, I was wrong. I didn't even get the place I wanted that they showed me. Instead I was given a completely smaller place and was totally misled to pick the wrong unit. The places are old and have old windows so good luck keeping heat in during the winter and during the summer it heated up so much. My electric bill was always so high and the places are way too close so everybody can hear everything. I felt like I had to walk on egg shells and even so I still had three sound complaints just from turning on my portable air conditioner in my room. I wasn't even home when I had these complaints. I was at work when my air conditioner turned on. The stairs are way too narrow and I would fall on them several times. Maybe it was the neighbors I had that gave me a terrible experience or maybe the management. The management was rude and didn't seem to take me seriously because I was younger than most of the residents there. If your looking to move here don't, they're way to overpriced, old, and the management sucks.
I can not wait until my lease is up and I can move out of this place. While the apartments are nice, the people who live in them are not. If you have a dog, this will not be the place for you. My dog has been attacked 3 times by other dogs off leashes. The first time the office sent a reminder of the leash law. A few weeks later I saw the same dog off his leash. When I reported it to the office, they told me there was nothing they could do if I couldn't provide the exact apartment number. I gave them a thorough description of the dog, and the general area where the dog lived. But apparently, they want me to follow a dog that just attacked my dog to the apartment it lives in. Regardless of the fact that they have pictures of each dog on file and can easily identify them. Just this morning, my dog was attacked by another dog off the leash. Luckily, they didn't leave any marks, but the response of the complex is that they will call them and remind them of the leash requirement. Yes, because clearly that worked last time. In another instance, there was a couple who was about 6 apartments away from us arguing in their garage. The property is supposed to be monitored by a private security company. When we called them to report the couple arguing so loudly that we couldn't sleep in our house 6 houses away, they never showed up. We ended up having to call the non emergency police line instead. We had a few incidents with one of our neighbors as well. The walls are hardly insulated so sound carries very easily. Lets just say, she is not a nice person. She filed complaints on us for being "too loud" in the middle of the day. She later proceeded to scream at my boyfriend from her balcony at 11:00 PM, whilst wearing a see through gown, about every little thing that has been bothering her since we moved in. The pools were also suppose to be open at the end of May. One of the reasons we picked this place to live was because of the gorgeous pools. It has been unseasonably hot this year, and it just so happened that the pools were being resurfaced right at the end of May. One of the pools is now open, but almost always crowded. I find it frustrating that you advertise them amenities, yet we can't even use them during the hottest day of the year! If you consider yourself classy, I would highly recommend not moving in here. You will not get along with the type of people that tend to occupy places like this.
I have lived here for the past 6 months, and if I was writing this review 1 month back it would be full of praise and great things about the place. It is in a great location, maintained incredibly well. It is a nice place to live over all. But recently the management has been changed and all the old staff was downsized. The new management staff is not very good at taking care of what needs to be done. They have had many complaints about things that weren't an issue before, with my unit and many others around me. They seem to have been brought in because the good staffing was costing the complex to much so they brought in worse staffing as a way to cut costs. I would leave now if I wasn't tied in to a lease that would cost me over $2500 to break. Don't move in here with the staff that has been hired.
