I'm at the end of my lease and I'm counting down the end of it. I've been here for 2 years. The first year was great. I didn't have any major issues. Maintenance was like a finely tuned machine, the custodians kept the building clean, and the front desk was awesome. During the second year, the property was bought by The Simpson Group and the property has gone downhill since then. My a/c stopped working at the beginning of May 2013, it wasn't fixed until July. It took me hounding the property manager daily in order to get status updates. In my hallway alone, there's lights out that have been out for weeks! There's always trash in the hallways even though there's a cleaning crew there daily. I have seen the same Qtip in the middle of the hall for a week. Parking is a joke...don't expect to have parking for your guests. No one respects the rules of the property because management doesn't enforce them. They will send out rules and reminders, but don't expect anything to be done. There's more and more college students moving in which has led to loud and rude behavior late at night. Maintenance requests take an act of Congress to get anything done. And if you have ANY kind of problem after 6:00pm, just know that it will not be addressed until the next day because everyone leaves the property at 5:59pm....from maintenance to the property manager. And that's if you get lucky! The front office help is only there to collect a pay check, so expect to get put on the back burner until they find it necessary to actually do something. If it requires them actually doing something more than getting your UPS or FEDEX package, it probably won't get done. The elevators are always broken and very slow. And security...is non existent. This place a conveniently located and gives you great access to 59. But that's the only good thing about this property. For what I'm paying($1500), I expected a lot more. I will never stay at another Simpson Group property. If you read this and still decide to rent here...you have been warned.
