I had high hopes for the new management but I have had issues. Billing is always an issue. They left a note requesting 0.01. One Penny. Each month I pay the correct month but they send a letter requesting money, they find the error, and make the adjustment. Then there was the issue of $300 that they claimed I owed them from October- December 2013 utilities. Currently, I have a huge bird nest in the ceiling above my 3rd floor apartment. I asked 30+ days ago for the opening to be sealed off. I received a letter that state law prohibits them from removing the nest. So I have to listen to birds scratch around all night and loud enough that people hear it over my phone. Please. I wanted to follow up. I called the city and they explained that it is the responsibility of the apartment to remove the birds. When I let the management know, they said they still wouldnt do anything. I have called the ownership several times but they do not return calls. DO NOT RENT HERE. They are only interested in money not helping their residents. THEY NOW CHARGE US FOR LANDSCAPING. THEY CLAIM THAT IT COSTS EACH RESIDENT $30 per month, meaning that their monthly bill, even during winter is about $3500. YEAH RIGHT.

I lived here for 1 year. Lucky enough to get an apartment with brand new carpet and appliances, however, dealt with maintenance on multiple occasions. The issue was never fixed, even when I moved out. Finally moved out after they were going to raise rent, was overcharged move-out fees, manager said they would send a new statement and never did, and after ASKING for the statement multiple times with no response, I was sent to collections with no notice. AWFULLY managed. It is impossible to get a hold of anyone that can assist! Do not move here! Nice location and amenities, but the management ruins it.

Just don't ever think of leasing here. WORST. hate to give even 1 star. Smiles only until you sign the lease. Then u will get hefty utility bills, and unknown bills. Manager is very rude and unhelpful. Finally, all the 1 star reviews are correct as i experienced it first hand.

I am not pleased with this place at all. When I renewed the lease first time around, the apartment building was under a different management. Rent increase was around 5%, which I thought was fair. By the second time, the management had changed. They decided to increase my rent by almost 14%. In my opinion, that is ridiculous. I am a landlord myself. I would never do that to any of my tenants. I tried reasoning with the apartment manager but that didn't get anywhere. Apartment's location is good, but it's a shame that it's poorly managed.

I am extremely dissappointed in Newport Crossing. I lived there for 21 months and did not have any issues with them until I moved out. They are trying to charge me for carpet and cleaning...of which I am contesting because they are wrong. That place was so clean enough they did not have to clean.....even the ceiling fan was clean!! and as for the carpet, it was not new when I moved in and they are renovating the unit anyway...so they are just trying to get more money. They have been renovating their complex since new management took over several months ago and I feel they are just trying to get money to do their renovations. My apt happened to be an "unrenovated" unit when I moved in! In fact, if you listen to their recorded message, it even talks about their newly renovated apts. So, as far as I am concerned they can stick it. I am not paying for them to do their renovations. I left that unit in excellent shape...I will add their was damage to a bedroom door that I did pay for, I have no issue with that but will be taking them to court if they do not stop the collection action they have started already....by the way, I moved a month ago so just gives you an idea of how hard up they are. Also, when they sent this to collections they failed to remove the $60. charge for the door that I payed already.
