The Internet is down, no notifications or emails. We had a leak in a wall when we moved in and it took over a month for them to come fix it and that process took over a week with one of our bathrooms out of order. The door knob to my bathroom is constantly falling off and the blinds in the living room break all the time from just pulling them up to open a window. Printer in the computer room was out of ink for most of the winter break didn't get fixed until about a week ago. It took them until yesterday to finally get the lock in the back gate of building 3 to do is job and stay locked. So people were able to come and go as they wished. The rooms only have 1 outlet that actually has a data connection even though there are 2 access points which wouldn't be a big deal if they didn't put it in a corner in between the closet and bathroom doors which leaves no room to put a desk of any kind to actually use said port, leaving you to rely on your wifi (again not a big deal but it's the principle). Honestly the rooms here are about on par with Burbank Commons. For the same price you can get a room in the Woodlands or Cottages and actually get what you pay for. The location relative to campus is great and that's really all this place has going for it. All in all this place isn't bad but is no where near worth over 600 a month almost 700 if you get it furnished and park in the parking garage. Just not quite the service or quality you'd expect when you're paying that kind of money.

The apartments are really great, they are close to campus and have pretty nice interiors. I only have a few complaints. I fell that this apartment complex should have a pet policy of some sort in which everyone can own a pet and not only those with a doctor's note. I also don't like that the hallways get rather loud at night. Also the workers smoke at the entrance to the garage in building 1 on the first floor and the smell of the smoke seeps into the hallways and into my apartment. And lastly the internet could be improved a bit, it doesn't allow for the smooth playback of videos.

Need to care more about residents issues. Location is fantastic. Size is ok and not so clean. Price is good relatively. I renewed my lease .

I've been living at the Venue for about a year now and while it's great that it's so close to campus, it's got more than a few flaws. I feel that the main problem with The Venue is that there is a strong lack of communication among the staff and from the staff to the residents. For example, for the past 3 months, none of the security doors have been working or even turned on at all. When I finally went to the office to ask what the issue was, they said they were struck by lightning in February and were still waiting on the parts to come in to fix it. They never told any of the residents this and allowed us to go along thinking we were absolutely safe in our apartments when in fact, that was unbelievably far from the truth. Things like this happen all the time. When something breaks, it stays broken for weeks, even months before they fix it. The other problem they have is that the people who work in the front office really have no authority. The only thing they can do is help you sign a lease or put in a work order. Recently, the pool gate was locked when it shouldn't have been and the only girl there couldn't figure out what key to use. We ended up having to jump the gate. It wasn't until about an hour later that one of the maintenance guys finally unlocked it. I know this place is organized so that it's never their fault because they have no power and that's probably the worst thing about this place. Also, almost all the machines in the gym there are broken and have been broken for years and they are never going to fix them. I usually just walk all the way across campus to the LSU UREC to actually get a good workout. Overall, this place is ok. The residents are usually nice and it's close to campus but it can be a huge headache sometimes. You might want to look at a few other options before signing a lease here.

I have really enjoyed living at The Venue! Close to school, free printing, great workout room, and a clean place to call home. The team is always available to help you and that feels great.
