BEWARE!! BEWARE!! I have never lived here in my life. My only experience with the complex is that of signing an application and having them come back and say that I have to pay a CREDIT FEE of $450 nonrefundable just to move in. I have never had a complex before or after ask me for a CREDIT FEE. We have a combined income of $200,000 and they said that it was a risk and they had to charge us a credit fee. When same weekend I found another complex and moved in with no issues or CREDIT FEEs and they don't even tell me prior to signing the application. Now because I didn't move in they submitted us to a collection agency that keeps bugging us. They ran our credit report before they had their money in their hands and told us we had INSUFFICIENT funds in our account when I had $1500. Now they are coming back and charging me $75 for INSUFFICIENT funds when we had $1500. This company is flaky and running some kind of SCAM. BEWARE!!!

STAY AWAY! I currently live here. The office staff are always rude and stuck up. they've entered our apartment to check the smoke detectors four times in the last 6 months. Sinks get backed up. Trash all over the place. Maintenance parks in our assigned spot. They often refuse to talk to me when I call. Loud neighbors, expensive rent, gates are always broken, and everyone who works for this place has an attitude. Can't wait to move.

I just signed my third lease here in November 2014 with my husband. That should give you an idea right off the bat. I've decided to leave out things like loud neighbors, barking dogs and all that stuff, because when living in an apartment complex these things are expected. If you don't want to deal with these things, apartment life isn't for you. However, if you feel the noise is excessive, the complex is good at giving out notices, but I've encountered very few continuous noise problems. I think most of the prices are fair for what you get. I've lived in two different buildings and everything has been in working order. Some of the appliances may be a little outdated, but they get the job done nicely and I haven't had any real trouble. One thing that drives me crazy is that they don't have lights on the ceiling fans, so we have a few lamps. Maintenance is great. You just send in a request for whatever you need looked at through the resident portal, and they get to you in a couple of days. They'll even change out your shower head if you ask. They also have emergency maintenance for after hours. There are inspections done on the fire alarms and fire sprinklers, which I really like. I've lived in apartments where that was never really done. I think the upkeep overall is good. Inside and outside. I've never had any kind of problems with the staff. They've always been polite. For the most part we're kept up to date on what is going in the complex. Recently I haven't gotten updates on the painting project, which has been an inconvenience. I do work from home so knowing if there is going to be loud noise outside my building is pretty important. I've contacted the manager and she's been helpful. The complex uses Time Warner Cable. They are partnered with Green Mountain Energy, but as far as I remember you can use a different company. Pets are allowed, two decent pools, gates work about 90% of the time, an okay gym, 121 isn't as loud as you think it would be, and after two years of living here I haven't witnessed or experienced any kind of crime. Overall, I think this is a nice place to live.

I lived here for a year and it went downhill pretty quick. The office lady that assisted me for my lease didn't stick around and the replacement staff were horrible. They didn't care about parking lot safety. The gates were always broken. When the snow/ice storm broke half of the parking structures they didn't care. Did they ever replace them? Neighbors were atrocious. Noise complaints, strangers driving in and using the pool and leaving, the neighbor kids went around banging on doors all the time.

DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! We moved into Oak Forest Apartments in May 2013. I have never hated living somewhere so much in my life! This is by far the WORST place to live! They don't care about the tenants. We have had nothing but issues since we moved in. We had to pay a RIDICULOUS deposit. There is trash everywhere. We had a sprinkler head explode right after they had them "replaced" because of faulty heads, Flooded our apartment. Almost $8000 in damages. All they could say was "We will let you move to another apartment." They refused to take any responsibility for it or help in any way. The walls are paper thin. The air conditioner has gone out more than 5 times. Maintenance comes and goes as they please, without notice. The bugs are ridiculous. The gates NEVER work, and when they do, people tailgate in. They are not monitored at all. We pay extra to live in a gated complex, but yet we don't get anywhere near what we pay for. The rent is EXTREMELY high, and SO NOT worth it. They claim this is a family place to live, but yet there is only one rinky dink playground on the far side of the complex. There is no security whatsoever. Some teenagers were caught having sex on the picnic bench by our building. The office did nothing. The parking is almost non-existent. I would not recommend anybody to live here! I can't wait til our lease is up so we can get out of this hell hole!
